What do the personality chips do for the droids?

What are the list of droid personality chips?

I've only ever seen the droid traits, and those don't look like they're from the list.

The list on the link is here: I just can't remember it right now. Someone else will likely have to answer it though.

I do know that the original two personality chips were added to the EU by Michael Kaminski of SW news media. They were in one of his newsletters for the time.

Also, there's some reference to the fact that R2 was actually sent into exile by the Republic over the assassination of two generals. In the original EU comic, R2 was sent to jail. So maybe the reference of exile came from that.

If you look at the personality chips as a whole they seem to be all "duties" or "traits". So, I thought of some of the more general droid personalities like R2-D2. The best example for me was R2-D2 going to C-3PO's funeral. I know that the personality chip doesn't define that droid's actions, but the droid's sense of honor, dedication to family, loyalty, etc are definetly linked to the personality chip.

And the most famous example for me is the personality chip of a particular female robot. That droid had several duties, but I think it is safe to say that the first duty was to protect the princess.

If I recall correctly, this is the droid who also goes back and takes advantage of the princess' trust of him to get her out of an embarrassing situation with a droid who has a vendetta against her. One particular memory that comes to mind of the female droid in question (although it's quite old at this point) is when her brother was trying to give a speech during some sort of ceremony. It was during that speech that he mentioned, by way of some odd coincidence, that the droid they were honoring was present. At that point, the female droid interrupted the speaker, and reminded everyone what her duties as a guard droid were. She then began to explain that her mission was to serve in the same way as the other guards on that base (in order to preserve their dignity in front of a fellow guard droid who was not allowed to attend the ceremony).

What do the personality chips do for the droids?

This article or section contains spoilers for the first movie.

"All your base are belong to us." Leia Organa. When the droids of the Galactic Republic were created, their personalities were implanted in the droids' brains. This allowed the droids to become sentient and function independently. The personalities of the droids were originally stored in the R2-D2 unit's memory core, but this was later changed to allow for a more direct and permanent connection. Later, the personality chips were embedded directly into the droid's brain, and even when the droids were reprogrammed by the rebels, the chips remained in their brains.

R2-D2's personality chip has an unusually complex personality. In addition to his standard programming, it also contains a large amount of secret information. R2-D2's personality chip is very important to the plot of the first Star Wars film, A New Hope. It is revealed that the Emperor has had his own droid clone, C-3PO, in a vat of molten metal at his home planet of Coruscant. At the end of the film, the Emperor reveals that the personality chip inside C-3PO's head is an exact duplicate of R2-D2's.

This suggests that R2-D2's personality chip was intentionally implanted in him by the Emperor. Additionally, the personality chip would have had to be very small, as it would have been impossible to implant it directly into the R2-D2 unit's brain. However, C-3PO's personality chip was not only much larger, it also had a more complex personality. This led some theorists to believe that the Emperor was unable to copy R2-D2's personality chip. Others theorized that the Emperor merely changed R2-D2's personality chip after he had originally made it. This would explain why C-3PO's personality chip was much larger than R2-D2's and why it was a more complex personality.

In Revenge of the Sith, the R2-D2 personality chip is used by Count Dooku to determine whether or not to kill Anakin Skywalker. R2-D2 is able to help Anakin avoid death by having a telepathic conversation with his former master, Obi-Wan Kenobi.

How to install personality chip in droid?

First of all, thanks for reading my post.

I've searched many places and found nothing that works for me. I'm running a Gnex 4g, rooted with CyanogenMod 13.

Now the problem, I've tried many commands to install it in stock recovery as well as custom recoveries. I've tried to wipe all partitions, data, cache, dalvik and move back to stock recovery as well. All didn't work, and I also tried to reflash the ROM and tried again. Nothing worked. Now I have 2 options, 1. Just reinstall Android, 2. Install a custom recovery.

I've tried TWRP custom recovery before and it installed properly, but I need to boot into it every time I want to use it. And I know I can install a custom recovery (like CWM) via TWRP custom recovery, and it won't wipe everything. But what I've done is that I'm unable to boot into recovery in the first place, even though I can enter fastboot with a stock recovery.

So I don't know what to do, if anyone has any ideas, i'd be really glad if you guys help me. My device is still rooted and I am able to access root-privileges on other devices. The only problems I encountered while rooting my phone were that some apps would not be installable, such as: But this is not a big deal, and I've installed them. And I think my phone is not affected by malware. I've tried many apps in the Google playstore, none of them show red flags when installed.

I've also used many antivirus and security apps, none of them showed signs of any malicious software. I didn't use any external storage on my phone, except for the micro SD card that is installed. I've never installed anything on it.

I'd be grateful if you guys could guide me on what to do. Please provide your answer as a post, so I can check out and follow your instructions step by step.
