How do I get beta testers for apps?
There's a chance that one of your fellow developers or a developer's friends has been in a situation where someone has an app, only for it to have very buggy or crashy problems. The good news is that this person has already got beta testers for the app, and is willing to give you access to them.
How can I get beta testers for my apps? There are many options. First, you can create a website like beta.net which gets some traffic by using paid ads on social media (i.e Facebook, Twitter) and even Google+
As an alternative, you can create social media pages and/or groups for your app, and start building relationships with people. To find beta testers and to get them, you can sign up for various online services like TestRail, TestFlight, AppLift, etc., that will help you automate, simplify, track and control the whole process.
How do I get more alpha testers? With an alpha and a beta test going so well, what can we expect from the full release? Well, first of all, don't make it final unless it is really final! I am not talking about fixing minor bugs only, but major design issues. If you're not sure, ask. It should be fine to continue to fix minor bugs after the alpha or beta test. You can also ask for a couple of features if there's a specific feature that you want.
So, let's say your alpha test was perfect. You're going to take away the time and effort from everybody. Then how do you make people think that they're going to be able to get the full game for free, even after the full release?
You should ask yourself how much the time and effort they've invested means to them. It doesn't sound reasonable at all that somebody would pay for an app just for getting the full version for free.
If you want to keep on going with releasing frequent updates to the game, then the only option left is to continue giving away keys and sending promo codes to your beta tester friends. But, again, this should be your last-ditch option.
What are the drawbacks of alpha and beta testing?
Does Google pay beta testers?
I don't remember the URL, but I read a post several years ago where someone mentioned he was contacted by Google to beta test an update to Android, and was offered a fee for the privilege.
How often is this done? Does Google do it themselves? Is it common practice? Google does pay people for testing the Android OTA updates. If they are available in your area, I would contact them. But that may be difficult if you're not near an advanced distribution like cyanogenmod or stock android, etc.
No this isn't an advertisement or anything I was thinking of the way facebook is advertising you on this blog I was wondering if google does this sort of thing because when I was in college I used to work for this software company and did a lot of beta testing for programs that we sold to businesses and it was a fun time! That's interesting. When I was at Stanford, we had a Beta tester in the Department of Physics, who tested a beta version of a new physics software program. At the time, I remember him saying that there were still issues with the program and that they weren't yet quite ready to publish, but he was given a free copy (which I think had some 'value' to them). I don't think they did that sort of thing often, and he's been gone for many years, so I doubt if Google does that sort of thing now.
Hi, I was one of those testers. I never was able to get a fee from them or have someone contact me directly. They were testing a new voice program where they asked a few people in focus groups what they should ask during beta testing, and got that information. I know you probably could find the answer to your question easily enough, but I wanted to let you know just in case you have forgotten. And as I stated before, I no longer work for a company that does that sort of thing.
Actually, this is how Google pays my salary. I do a number of web apps for Google in my free time, and have beta tested some things internally. In all cases it was a paid tester.
If the issue was voice recognition, I was told they had that covered and I wasn't going to need to spend my time talking to a computer.
How to upload apk for beta testing?
(Android)
I have been thinking about this question for a long time. I want to create application for the beta testing. I have been using the Google Play Store to upload apps to be in beta testing. But it does not satisfy me completely because I can do it once and my user is very limited.
Is there any alternative? And after I upload my app to beta test, can I update it easily? Can I make my users download apk file to upgrade the app? Or is there any alternative solution for this problem? For Google Play Store, There are so many solutions. Have another Google account and publish to that account. Have the second account linked to your other account, the apps published to second account gets uploaded to your Google Play account automatically. If you need to publish an app on multiple devices, you can either add those devices to your own Google account as well and publish your app to them, or create a separate Google developer account and upload your app. For updating the app, you can use versionCode (the current version of the app) in the AndroidManifest.xml
