How do I get a job as a beta tester?
There are many ways to get a job as a beta tester.
You can be recruited by a company, or you can volunteer for a company that is looking for beta testers. Here are some common methods for finding beta testers:
Company Recruitment. Many companies have recruiters who are looking for new beta testers. In order to find them, you can do a search on Indeed.com or Glassdoor.com for beta testers. Many of the companies listed in the results will be looking for beta testers to help them test their software or mobile applications.
When I was looking for a job as a beta tester, I found that it was easiest to get an email from someone who wanted me to be a beta tester, and I would respond with a link to my resume. I would then email them back and ask for an interview. When I was interviewing with a company, I would take a few hours out of my day to work on a little side project, and then show them my site. When I got a job, I would go through the company's web site and click through to all of the links that I found on the site. Once I found a page that I liked, I would email the company and ask them if they were looking for beta testers. If they said yes, I would ask them if they would consider me for a beta tester. They would then send me an email back and ask me to send them more information about my skills and experience. This was the best way for me to find a job as a beta tester.
Volunteer. If you have a desire to help companies test their software, you can find companies on websites such as TestMyApp.com, or you can contact a company and ask if they are looking for beta testers. Another way to find a company that wants beta testers is to look for companies that have a Facebook page or a Twitter account. Companies will often post about their products and services on their social media pages. If you find a company that has a Facebook page, you can check their About Us page to see if they are looking for beta testers. If they don't have a Facebook page, you can email them and ask if they need beta testers.
Volunteering is the best way to get a job as a beta tester. I recommend volunteering with TestMyApp.
Do Google beta testers get paid?
One day ago I got a mail from Google with the subject: I'm your new beta tester.
My first thought was that Google is going to use me as beta tester for Android. So I immediately checked if I had a Google account. Sure, I did. But if Google wants to start beta testing Android, they probably need to pay for it or do some other business to the testers. If Google want to be the biggest company on earth, then all businesses have to pay for every beta tester. After all, a beta tester is someone who test their software before release.
My second thought was that Google didn't know whether it was going to start Android beta testing on Google Play, Gmail or Chrome. And the mail said: We haven't worked out all the details yet, but we'd love to send you a discount coupon code when we announce the program.
When I saw the subject I just thought it is going to be a big hoax. So I opened the mail and tried to find a discount coupon. But there was none. It was a one-line mail. No signature. No CC. No any other information that would make me believe that this was actually a real person (or Google).
Then I started to think that it might be a joke, so I checked my inbox to see if Google is actually paying me for the beta testing for Android. Sure enough, the mail came into my inbox and there was a Google email address on the left side of the email. I had no other email from Google because I'm using Protonmail. As a result, I never received any other emails from Google (except when I asked). I opened the mail and this is what it said:
Hello, you are a new beta tester! We're excited to work with you. Before we go any further, please check to make sure your settings allow this: Go to your Gmail Settings and select Always show these types of messages from the drop-down menu for Preview your messages and prevent them from appearing as spam. If you're receiving this message, then your settings aren't allowing the preview option. Click here for help.
How do I become a beta tester for Google?
Hello! I am very interested in becoming a beta tester for Google. My email address is julien.willemse@googlemail. I have never used a beta version of the Google products before, but I have been doing web programming for many years and I find it fun to create new versions of my own websites. I really like the idea of playing with new features and seeing what works and what doesn't, so I am very much looking forward to be a beta tester!
Please tell me how I can sign up to be a beta tester. To sign up as a beta tester you will need to fill out the following form: You will also need to add your email address to the Contact Us box on the right hand side of the page. If you are already registered as a Google Webmaster Tools customer then you do not need to fill out this form, instead you will receive an email with instructions on how to access the Beta Test website.
The instructions are very simple. Once you are logged into your Google Webmaster Tools account, go to the Webmaster Tools section of the account. From here you can click on Beta Test Sites and then Sign up for the Beta Test. You will then be redirected to the beta test page.
Once there you need to enter your email address (which is also your Google account login) and then select your preferred testing period. You can choose to be a permanent or one-off beta tester.
When you have filled out the form and selected your preferred testing period, click Next. The next screen will ask if you wish to receive the beta version of the service by email. If you answer Yes then you will receive an email that will give you step by step instructions on how to install the beta version of the service.
Please note that the beta version of the service will not contain all of the features that you would find in the standard version. Instead the beta version will be focused on finding bugs and problems.
Once you have installed the beta version of the service and it is working for you, you can then request to become a permanent beta tester.
Do beta testers get anything?
I'm just asking because I really don't know.
Are they getting a small amount of the game for free? If they are, is it a lot? Do they get anything else? Also, are you allowed to give them your game to test and if so, how do you go about doing that? Sorry for all the questions, but I really have no clue. I'm trying to find out if there's any way I can help the beta testers out.
You should try the forums. There's an official thread for beta testing.
And if you think that there's no way for you to help the beta testers out, there's always a way. As for the beta testers, they do not get anything special. I was a beta tester for a while, and I don't remember anything being special. I was however, given a copy of the game on release day.
If you wish to give them a copy, contact their email address on the website.
