Why can't I get my Yahoo Mail on my Android phone?

I've been searching for a solution to this problem for a few days now.

I've tried the various Android apps that exist out there, and none of them work. For example, I have a Google App on my phone (installed from the market). It is possible to download the mail app, but it only allows you to access your gmail messages. I want to access my yahoo mail and other contacts on my phone.

A few days ago I tried to get all my mail on my phone, and I was able to do it, but it didn't work every time I turned on the phone. A few days later, when I checked, I could no longer log into yahoo and I wasn't receiving mail on my phone.

I looked at the permissions on my phone, and these are the ones I found for both apps: Google Gmail App: Yahoo Mail: When I turn on the phone and I go to the Google App and try to download the app, it gives me the error message, "Unable to download", with a red X through it. Do you mean when you download the app and choose an account, or do you mean when you sign into the app on your phone? When you sign in, you must be given a choice of which account(s) to log in to and also a choice of how to authenticate (eg OAUTH, POP3 or IMAP). Can you tell us what you've already tried to get this working? What methods have you tried? If you mean when I download the app, I am not given the option to log into any accounts. All I have is the option to download the app.

And if I click on the Yahoo Mail app, it connects me to my yahoo mail, but it only allows me to view my gmail messages. I want to view my yahoo mail messages and my other contacts on my phone.
