How do I use obfuscated servers on Nord?
For example, how do I host a server and allow other users to play this server.
If it's on my hard drive how can the server run through my firewall that I have connected to my computer with?
You can use your PC as a server that has both Nord clients and server for others to play through. The server doesn't run through your firewall.
All you need to do is copy over the .nord file from your PC into the Nord directory of the server you want to be hosted.
The client does not need to be on your PC, but any server needs to be able to connect to you (your computer). When you set up a server on a separate computer it is able to provide Nord files.
If you use Steam, you may need to install steam server on the server as well and tell it to allow users to play your servers.nord will be in your steam installation on the server. You need to make sure your steam account is linked to your Nord installation so your steam servers are also linked to your installed server files on your PC.
As for running through your firewall, the server does not run through your firewall. The client and client server that connect to your server will do so through the firewall.
