What season do hydrangeas bloom in Animal Crossing?
Can you get flowers from the other animal towns?
Hydrangeas only bloom in Spring. Other towns bloom in spring, too, so I guess they're on holiday in spring.
You can get the flower for your home and the tree in your town from the Garden Shop. I had a lot of fun doing this video. If you like it, please upvote and subscribe! I also made a video about different towns. You can find it here.
Animals from different towns don't mix. It's not like they're going to get a pet and decide to live together. The main thing is that when they live together, it's a big mess. Like in the video. The dog doesn't want to leave his yard.
You can see that the dogs from the other towns are way meaner than our dog. That's why our dog was scared to leave the house. I think it's normal that they'd be meaner. They're fighting for their territory. They have to be mean or they're going to be out of place. They don't want any more competition.
The bird from the Safari Club is the one who gives the flowers. She'll always do that. They'll ask you to get some for them. When you go to the tree shop, she's waiting for you.
The dog doesn't like her. I think it's because she's more popular. She's not so strong. The dog and the bird were rivals, but now the dog is alone. He thinks he's powerful because he has a dog as his ally.
The bear from the Safari Club was the mayor. He's an important person because he controls the trade of animals. A bear is very important, since they're so rare and also because they have so many useful tricks.
I don't remember all the animals. I only remember the ones who came to my town.
If you have any requests, just let me know. I'm open to suggestions. I also made a video about what animal sounds to make. The same sounds I used for the animal noises in the video.
The bear wanted to see me do what I do with that sound. I think he wanted to see how it works. He probably wanted to ask me about it.
I made this video for my YouTube channel.
Why is my hibiscus not blooming Animal Crossing?
Why are my tulips so green-toned?
I am trying to work out whether the coloration of my tulips on Animal Crossing Switch is really supposed to be green. My question: Is the coloring supposed to be in green for all tulips or just the non-flowering ones? If the latter, do I have to wait until April and then it will be able to get the flowers to a reasonable color with my current progress (after all of January) of having the flowers get smaller before they bloom, like I have been doing up to now? I think the flowers can only get smaller if their petals wilt and droop more or less, otherwise you'll see them as full flower size for a long time when you first get them. I don't think they should grow smaller even after the flowers die down at around the 9th month. But maybe someone who has tried can confirm if that's what I'm saying is correct.
Thank you. I have been trying to figure out how they go from fully blossomed to drooping within one month. The first thing that struck me was that the color changes almost immediately before the drop of the flower. But there also seems to be quite a big decrease in the size in February; I don't think that was even supposed to happen so fast with no increase of any kind. In fact, all the flowers on my Switch appear to all be drooping very fast except for the single blooming one. Maybe someone who knows the answer can say whether they all do that too. Thank you!
In case you had never heard, the petals of a flower are not only the part that surrounds the flower. The petals are composed of cells (lobes in the case of a rose, the "petal" in the case of a Hibiscus, etc. The petals are the parts that give the plant the ability to reproduce. And the more cells your flower has, the bigger it will get. So when we get a flower bigger than the other flowers we have in the game, that means that flower had more cells added to it by the petals. Meaning that your plant had more ability to produce seeds due to the growth spurt in growth period.
I'm not really sure what you want to know exactly, though. Just a general summary of my personal findings.
What bushes are in season on Animal Crossing?
As per the Animal Crossing Wiki: "The four bushes available for planting in the game are: Red Maple.
Black Cherry. Darling Apple. Cabbage". It appears that all three bushes are currently available for planting, though I have yet to see a flower. Why isn't anyone using red maple? Because it's just so sad. The red maple is the saddest bush you can grow. It's really a sad excuse for a bush, it's even sadder than black cherry. The red maple's a bit of a misnomer, as the foliage of a real red maple is a nice deep red, while the red leaves of the in-game bush are a rather drab greyish red.
The sad thing is that red maple does not actually produce red fruit at all; it produces a variety of brown fruits which grow into what looks like large green balls that resemble a pumpkin. If you look closely you'll see they aren't actually green - they're orange and white.
If you plant the red maple, your first bush will look like this: When you collect it from the ground later it will look like this: Even after collecting it, when you plant it on your island, it will look like this: But once your island's been loaded in the game, you'll get this message: I can't grow red maple. You need the item called "Plant Red Maple." You can only find it by speaking to the guy who's selling them at the west side of town (next to the store). He has a hat that says "Plant Red Maple" on it and he gives you a free one if you speak to him about it.
If you want to use one you get from him, don't forget to give it back when you leave the shop!
Why aren t my hydrangeas blooming Animal Crossing?
They look awesome, but they wont bloom.
How do I fix this? Help! (Nintendo Switch)
Hi, I am afraid my Nintendo Switch has just been playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf as well. It has been almost three weeks and my hydrangeas are still as beautiful as the first time I picked them. However, they never bloom and keep looking at me in this really sad way. I wonder if it has anything to do with me being Nintendo, since I am not an Animal Crossing fan. (Pun intended - I have a cat who hates me because of some past sins.)
Anyway, the problem is really starting to bug me, and I would love to know if it does to anyone else. Is there something I can do about it? If you could please help me out with this, I would appreciate it! The post was edited 0 times, last by Fuzzme (Apr 19th 2025, 7:13am). I am sorry. You definitely have my deepest sympathy. Please excuse me, I will try to answer your question, hope you do not mind.
I have a few questions for you, but first please try to take a breath. Do your hydrangeas always bloom the same year after year? And do they ALWAYS come up in spring even when weather is unpredictable, like it did this year? Now, I will make a list of things you could possibly check. Check weather forecast from the site and see how often your spring comes. Do the same for your summer and winter. Try to plan for the best possible scenario, like waiting till at least 3rd week into spring and then plant as soon as possible, as the soil is warm and prepared for the seeds. There is a little while period in spring when the plants need a bit of warmth to bloom. Make sure you can leave it a few days on a sunny window sill at your home.
Second is watering and fertilizing. It is a good idea to water a plant every other day to ensure good soil and good conditions for the roots to flourish, this is also important for all the house plants and trees to keep them in shape. Fertilizing is also important. If your flowers start looking pale and faded, it could be the time of the year that it feels dry.
