The iSeeMe App. Before looking at how to add iSeeMe to the iPhone, let's take a moment to explain what it is. ISeeMe is a simple, free application that works in conjunction with an iPhone 4 or higher and iOS 4. As you launch the iSeeMe application from your homescreen, a GPS Tracker will appear right next to your current network provider's logo on the homescreen. Once you have selected the iSeeMe Tracker, the screen below will appear. If the tracker is already working, you can select your tracker from the list of available trackers.
If your tracker has not found your current location, press the refresh button to see if the position is available. For a limited time, iSeeMe is available at Apple and Google App stores for free.

Does Google Maps tell you coordinates?

I've read a number of articles on the internet that say google maps tells you the lat/long (the 2.xxxxx decimal coordinate) of a location and google has recently changed it so that you can now hover over the map and see the lat/long. Well, does it really tell you the coordinates? I tried to find some tutorials for this but didn't have much luck.
You can't tell the exact coordinates from the image you provided because Google is using a different style for it's top left corner. If you change your google.com url, you'll notice the location changes on the google maps search bar as well.

It appears to use the same type of location data used by Google Earth, which is an estimate based on GPS timing. Google doesn't provide a standard API for getting latitude and longitude.

In addition to Eduardo's answer, I had a very helpful comment from someone in the Google Maps API team that said, "You can also get a great idea of where the coordinates are from the image. To estimate what they are you'll need to use a method called "latLngToPixels" or alternatively make a small change to the marker and add a click handler to your own custom marker class. You'll then be able to work out the X and Y in your custom marker class."

The position is estimated by combining several sources of data: GPS, Wi-Fi and Cell. In case of GPS, the position is reported with an accuracy in meters (accuracy depends on the level of satellites in view). So you should be able to get it from GPS if you enable it in the phone.
Wi-Fi/Cell triangulation is another source of data. It uses several radios (radio base stations) on your phone to triangulate the position.
Google maps uses the last information it receives before displaying the map. So you can display the approximate position in your app, but I don't think that it will give you the correct value of latitude and longitude.
Where is the location of longitude and latitude?
The latitude and longitude are on the surface of the earth.
It is generally accepted that a great circle (the most accurate) should be drawn between the poles, through the Greenwich meridian. But where exactly those are depends on which "standard" or reference frame you're using (and also on Earth's rotation at the time of that great circle).
In order to determine a position of longitude and latitude, you will need to know more than just where the poles are, and it takes a lot of math to get it all done. It is hard to know what the questioner is really asking, but I'll address them all. Location. The "location" of your phone is where the GPS receiver says it is. The GPS receiver may give you the location as north/south coordinates, or as east/west coordinates, or as coordinates which are relative to a specified point, or as "on the surface of the Earth". The GPS receiver measures angles relative to the Earth, so those are not a precise measure of location. So if you are in a location where there are lots of buildings and other large objects blocking GPS satellite signals, you might get a slightly different location.
That would be why you cannot use your phone's GPS receiver to give you the precise location of the pole of the Earth. But it is possible to make an estimate of that location.
Pole of the Earth. The poles of the Earth are at 180 N/S. If you use your phone's GPS receiver to get the location of the pole, then you get north/south coordinates, and an estimate of the radius of the Earth. That estimate will depend on how many satellites are available and are receiving signals.
That's because you can only estimate location from the available information. So the more satellites you have, the better your estimate of the location. But the more satellites you have, the more expensive your phone will be, and the harder your phone's processor will be working, etc.
There are tables online giving the location of the pole, but they will not give the error of that estimate. I don't know if the error is known, but it would be a factor in how accurately the phone gets its location when it queries the GPS satellite.
What is the location of longitude and latitude? That depends on where you are and which coordinate system you are using.

The first few times you do a location search on a map using the web browser, you'll be presented with several options and many different ways of inputting the coordinates to retrieve the desired location.

Coordinate system. It sounds like a trivial point, but all things considered, even if you know a general location like a city, suburb, or town, you need to know the exact coordinates. Otherwise, you won't be able to put down the map and determine in which direction you should be going, and in which street, in order to reach the location.
To find the correct distance, a general rule-of-thumb is 1 kilometer equals roughly 0.6 miles. So 10km = 6mi.
