Can I track a lost Samsung phone?

You can track lost, misplaced or stolen mobile devices by going to the Device Settings page on your device.

You will see a Lost Mode button on your page.

Here you'll be able to find other owners of your device that may be lost, even if they have disabled the Find my phone option. You can message your lost devices, lock them, set an activity alert, disable the device and remove it from your family plan.

Note: We are currently in beta testing for this feature and some of these steps may not be available yet. Lost mode settings. Device: Phone Number and Name. If you wish to message the person, enter their phone number or email address into the textbox and press OK. Device PIN Unlock. To help keep your phone protected against theft, you can set a custom device PIN to unlock the device. Enter a PIN and press OK.

Security: Phone Lock / Alert. If you wish to lock the device, check the Lock Now option. If you wish to turn on an activity alert (eg that is triggered when the device is moved), then select the Alert Me option and enter either a Text Message, Email or both. The setting works fine as long as the phone number is valid for SMS messages and has a contact record in Contacts on the phone.

Remove from Family Plan. If you wish to lock your phone, select the Remove From Family Plan option. Tracking: Device Activity. Click the Settings icon, located in the bottom-right of the main Samsung Galaxy Note9 screen. Open the Device menu (3 bars near the top of the screen). Click on Track Activity to send a message. The location of the message will be sent to the recipient once the tracking is complete. As per a new report, the upcoming devices will come preloaded with an app that allows users to remotely control a neighbor's Android device using the Air Gesture feature.

How do I find my friends' lost Samsung phone?

I got my friends phone last week, and it has my name and address on it.

It's a Samsung Galaxy S6. We use the same WiFi and cell phone number, so I thought it was pretty safe to send it back to them.

But I found it on their floor and realized it might not be there anymore. They probably lost it. How do I find it? I'm going to call their cell phone but I don't know their cell phone number or even how to call it.

Hello kob, thanks for your interest in using the site. This is not something that can be done by simply calling your friends phone number and asking them if they have your phone. In order for the phone to be "lost", your friends would have to take the phone off of their wireless service plan, which I believe is the main reason why this would happen.

However, you can make a copy of the contacts from the phone you have, and copy those over to the phone you have now. This would be the easiest solution if you are unable to reach them, and will let them know where their phone is at least.

Can I track my Samsung if its off?

For a few years I used to track my phone and know where its at all times, but recently my phone has stopped showing up. I looked on my contacts, and it wasn't there. I searched the Internet for answers, and most of the times I hear that you can't track if your phone is off. Does that mean it's lost, or does that mean that it's switched off? And how can I track it?

Is this a lost phone? If it is your phone, then you should probably report it stolen to the authorities. There are several ways to find your phone even if it has been reported stolen. You can try with the IMEI (Identification Module) number on the back of the phone. Most cell phone manufactures provide a website where you can use the IMEI number. Once you have that number, go to and you will be able to view the location of the phone if it is registered with them. If the phone is unregistered, then you will be able to download the software that you can use to find your phone.

You should also be able to access your phone by going to then search for the name of your provider. If you are still using dial-up service, then when you put in the number that you get on your bill for the service, it will automatically dial the number for you. This will most likely show you that your phone is off. You should also be able to find the address of the nearest T-mobile store.

In other words, yes, you can track it if it is turned off. In other words, you might better off getting it replaced. In other words, you shouldn't have one in the first place. I would not bother contacting your carrier about it; most likely you will end up paying for a new phone anyway. It doesn't sound like an important thing for you to track if the phone is turned off, so I suggest not worrying about it. The most likely outcome is that they will replace the phone or unlock it for you. You can look at your T-Mobile service or T-Mobile Store for assistance. You may have to pay a fee for the service, but it sounds like you can afford it, as well.
