I have been using the hotspot on my Mac (iMac) since it was originally a Windows program, and they have said that they are not working with Netflix. I was wondering if you use this free and do know if it works or not?

Can I use HS with Netflix on my iPhone and/or iPad? I am able to connect to an "approved" hotspot and be online, but if I want to use an unapproved one on my WiFi-only devices, it won't work. I really want to stream videos from Netflix to my iOS devices. Thanks.

Use the latest OS version of Android from Verizon! This makes it impossible to use their phones or tablets if you don't upgrade when prompted. I recommend getting one of the unlocked version of the Google Nexus 4, or one of the other Nexus smartphones or tablets.

You can also go to this link, click on the Download now button, and download Hotspot VPN directly from the link.

Step 2. Add Hotspot VPN as a mobile hotspot Open the Google Play store and search for Mobile hotspot. Click on the first result. After that, choose Add and add the hotspot VPN app you just downloaded.

Step 3. Log into hotspot VPN After you add Hotspot VPN, open the app. If you have already added Hotspot VPN as a mobile hotspot in Step 2, you will see your mobile hotspot options in the app.

You can choose to connect to your existing hotspot or create a new one. Either way, you will need to enter a valid password to connect to the hotspot.

For over a month I have been using the new version 3.

4.12 on my droid x when I was browsing with hotspot shield I had unlimited data.

Just wondering why it no longer unlimited data? Is it possible to still use it with this new version while still being unlimited data for free. My reason is im getting about 5 gigs a month from AT&T and don't want to run up my bill on other wifi's. Plus the hotspot shield is what im most comfortable with. Im fine if its only one hotspot shield. I have unlimited data on my phone already. I just wanted to know because the new version says I can use hotspot shield for unlimited data.

I was a big fan of Hotspot Shield Free for a long time. They updated their software recently and took away our unlimited data, which didn't sound all that appealing. This may be due to the same company who owns it, I'm not sure.

This seems to be the same version with unlimited data. We tested the hotspot shield on our devices (and I do have unlimited data on my phone, thanks Verizon) and it still had unlimited data and all functionality.

Also we do have unlimited data plan as well. So this makes it an easy switch without losing any of the unlimited data we are currently receiving.

I downloaded this version 3.9 (for hotspot shield - Android ) which comes with unlimited data.

It works perfectly, though with the usual warning about being against the rules as it can still be connected to AT&T's network. We haven't paid the slightest attention to that so far.

So I did some quick testing last night (wifi-only) which appears to have the same result for me. While running, it used 100k/day (it usually averages out around 50) and then when switched off, it shows up in my AT&T records at around 150, and that's when I logged off my PC and restarted.

I tried using my hotspot with the app and without it for just over a day each and didn't experience any difference in usage or connection quality.

Also a good idea is to save the steps when you are done and use it again next time you need it. If you do not want to see the setup video every time you open it, you can easily switch off the notifications by turning them off on the phone settings and restarting the app.
