What Netflix series should a 13 year old watch?

I am thinking about starting Netflix this summer and was wondering which series in particular I should start with.

I don't really like action/fight shows, as I am pretty lazy and don't feel like watching it in the background, instead I like to be able to watch it in bed and fall asleep. Also, i'm looking for a series that is easy to watch but will have some complex plots in it, at least that are not based on an episode of glee. In the meantime, I know how popular "Arrested Development" was when I was around 13-14 years old, but I don't remember that much and i'm worried it will get repetitive. So my question is, what series should I begin with, especially if it will keep me watching for a long time?
This makes me sad because I used to be like that too (not watching TV or anything) and then one day I said to myself "Hey, this feels pretty damn good to be spending all my time doing what I want to do. The world will still go on whether I watch TV or not." So if you really like TV, and you like to fall asleep while you're watching it, I would recommend starting from there and if you find that TV isn't quite enough for you, I'd suggest looking for documentaries or movies that seem interesting and trying to get your Dad to watch with you.

Not sure what's going on here but it doesn't sound like your parents watched it. That can definitely happen with your age group. My parents didn't watch anything but Glee till a couple years ago. The show that made me want to quit TV was called 'the Wire'. It had some extremely heavy concepts and I couldn't get through a single episode. You'll probably find your self drawn in if you just let yourself get sucked in.
