How do I manage remote computer's SoftEther VPN client?

I have been using SoftEther VPN client on my home computer.

I want to use the softether VPN client on the remote computer (a laptop) as well but it does not detect the connection (and vice versa when connecting).

My question is how do I manage the softether client of both computers? The following are the steps I have taken so far: 1) Set up and activate the SoftEther VPN on my home computer. 2) Install the softether-gui on the remote computer. 3) When SoftEther VPN client is started on my home computer (and softether-gui is opened) the status of the remote computer client seems "ready" and "listening". 4) However, when starting the softether client on the remote computer (I click on the client icon) the popup messages shows "SoftEther VPN client is not running" and after clicking the apply button I get this "Not enough storage is available to complete this operation. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80001000)".

5) If I right click the softether client icon on the remote computer and select "Properties", it says that "This device can't start SoftEther VPN." (The Softether-gui icon on the remote computer remains green and "unresponsive").

6) I also installed the SoftEther VPN client on a Windows XP laptop I brought along so I could test if it would work. On that machine it works fine. So I guess there are some kind of installation-specific problems with the remote computer.
