How do I get my PIA VPN to work?

I downloaded the app from the market and I'm trying to log into my 'Private Internet Access' account. The PIA app keeps asking me for a login and password that I never set. I have tried changing the password many times and it hasn't helped. The reason why I need to log in is to be able to use the 'PIA Connect' service which has unlimited bandwidth and a few other nice things.

I've tried logging in through the mobile apps and when it asks me to log in, it doesn't work because it says that my username or password is wrong. PIA Connect also gives you an extra 15GB of bandwidth and 5x faster speed over your regular PIA connection. I'm running Android OS on a Nexus S. I signed in and the first time I went to sign out (it was the only place I tried), it started downloading the browser files from another location. It was taking a while so I closed it. Then I googled it, tried to check my download and it took forever. I closed it and then re-launched it. It was at 0.0 KB. So, I signed in with my Google Account. I went to the "Downloads" folder and clicked on it. It took some time to download but it was up to date. Then, I tried to update Chrome, and it says I have the latest version. Now, i'm not sure whether it's the app version or the system version. I can't tell it apart by looking at the app version or the name. It says it's on the latest version.

Anyway, it is now downloading the browser files and when I open the app, it starts off at 0.0 KB again. I don't know how much longer it will take to download. I tried to download the browser files again, just in case, but it didn't give me anything.

Now it's stuck at 0. I know it's going to take a long time to download. I should know how much longer it takes. I've left it for almost 20 mins and it still is at 0. I can't just leave it alone.

We use PIA VPN for Android as our work VPN, when I turned on the device it said it needs internet connection.

When I turn off the device and turn it on again, it is working. It does not allow me to use any web based services like Gmail, Facebook etc.

I have tried almost everything but nothing works. The PIA VPN on my iPhone works absolutely fine.

This is because PIA VPN stores its settings in the /data/data folder. So, if you have not rooted your device and if you are running a stock ROM, then you will lose all your settings and apps along with your data when you do a factory reset.

If you have rooted your device then you can use Titanium Backup and move your settings to the SD card, so that the factory reset will not delete your settings, apps or data. If you don't want to move your settings to SD card then you can download another app called "MyPia" which will allow you to transfer your settings to your SD card and then you can factory reset your device without losing your settings.
