The plastic parts are sealed by a rubber seal. If you find your vents are dirty, just remove the rubber seal and clean the vents with a damp rag.

Are oven scrapers safe?

Our house is always in a mess after I bake and do not have time to wash up.

We have bought kitchen scraper but sometimes things are still on the glass. Is the scraper safe or should I get rid of it?

- Anonymous User 12/25/2017. A

A kitchen scraper is a scraper tool that would not be safe for the stove or oven since any metal parts will not react well with those surfaces. Since you live in a rural area with only one phone, the best answer we could give is just like your question reads, they are not safe for an oven or stove top. They can be good for scraping off grease from the oven so no problem there, but using an oven scraper for other purposes such as prepping the counter for baking is not safe.

Yes, you can use an oven scraper to clean your food off the sides of your oven if you want to, since you said it's always in a messy condition, I'd try it out. If it works, I'd stick with it. But, if it doesn't, the safety concerns still apply (if there are any, which this may not be), so just keep in mind there are no guarantees.

Yes, it can scratch the stove and or oven. You can cover your scraper with plastic or something to prevent that from happening.

It is not safe ,as long as you do not get the metal parts contact with the flame. - Anonymous User 7/26/2017. - Anonymous User 6/4/2017. - Anonymous User 5/8/2017. - Anonymous User 5/1/2017. I would say yes it's safe, but it has never been safe if you use any type of metal to scrape the cook surface it can be scratched. It is best to protect it with a lid or another material depending on the material of your stove.

Can I scrape the inside of my oven?

Yes! It is a perfectly safe process, and helps you avoid costly repairs and costly repairs. But if your oven has a small vent hole on the top then you need to take special precautions when scraping the stove top as the hot gases are released and could become dangerous, causing a dangerous explosion.

Is it really safe? Yes, it is! Scraping the inside of an oven is one of the safest home repairs out there. However, if you get started without the proper precautions, then you can get hurt. So it is best to heed these tips.

Before you begin: Know the area before you begin. The bottom oven tends to vent a lot of heat compared to the top or a combo oven, so you will have to be very careful with what you do to the top. You want to be as careful as possible because the more heat the faster it can spread and catch things on fire.

Clean as much of the food debris off the oven surface as possible. This helps you minimize the amount of heat that can be produced and spreads.

Avoid using metal tools on the stove top. If you have a flat top, you can use a thin metal spatula. When scraping angled top, you can use a thin piece of wood (a butter knife works well).

Make sure you use a clean cloth and wash off thoroughly after scraping. Things to avoid: Do not scratch anything. You can scratch anything that is permanently attached to the oven, and even the knobs on an oven can scratch too, so you should make sure you hold onto them while you scrape.

Do not lean against the oven door while scraping. Do not use a metal instrument against the oven door. Do not try and remove the oven door. After you have scraped the inside of the oven: Do not eat anything while inside the oven or microwave (aside from popcorn, which is OK). You may get sick and this could put you at risk.

Remember to keep your hands clean and wash off your tools. Do not stand or sit directly on the stove top for long periods of time while the oven is on. Scrape as close to the middle of the oven as possible. This minimizes the amount of heat you produce.
