Can you pause a time timer?

Can you pause a time timer?

I have this timer and it is in a game and I am trying to pause it when I press space but for some reason it doesn't work. Here is the code: .

.
Also, I tried with onclick instead of onload but it didn't work either. The window.clearInterval(t) function is for removing a setInterval. For pausing, you'd use clearTimeout(.), which is almost exactly the same as clearInterval(.

You can do the following. Window.onload = function(), 1000);r r
document.getElementById('pause').

What is the timer that shows the passage of time?

I can't figure it out.

I don't even understand how it works. Is there a simple explanation?

That timer is known as the chronograph on Casio digital watches and the display is of the kind used on modern cell phones (for instance an LCD display). Such displays have a set number of horizontal rows, usually at least 32 depending on the size and resolution of the display (there are no standard sizes for these displays, but the number is usually somewhere between 5 and 32).

The chronograph is a mechanism to make the display flash as each second is counted. A cell phone watch with such a display can show the minutes since startup, and also (using what is called a 'glob display') the hours since startup and the minutes since 1 AM (so to speak). That's very useful in certain cases like when you want to know when to turn on your alarm clock in the morning, say 8AM (note that the number of columns in the display depends upon the size of the cell phone display, just as the number of rows depends on the size of the chronograph display; not all 'watch' models are always able to make use of all their functionality).

How do you use a visual timer?

I have had a number of problems with my body clock recently and have tried several ways to help.

I have tried a sleep timer which I can set to a certain time and also an alarm clock which I can set to go off at any time.

I find that my mind tends to be in one of two places, either too tired and I fall asleep straight away, or I'm awake and unable to go to sleep, I am unable to get comfortable. I end up tossing and turning until the timer goes off.

I was wondering what you do when you feel like this? Do you use a visual timer? I can imagine it's not easy to keep still when you want to go to sleep but you can't fall asleep, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I often use a timer that starts when I start to feel tired, ie, it may say 'at 10' (or whatever) and if I am tired, I will set it to '11' or whatever and it will make sure I go to sleep at that time. If I know I will wake up in 3 hours time, I'll make a note of that time, then set my alarm for that time. Other times, I don't set the alarm, and instead wake up at the same time, set my alarm for 11 and wake up at 11. This gives me an extra hour of sleep, which means I'm more refreshed in the morning.

I also do a night wake up call. I set my alarm to wake me at a certain time and make sure I wake up. It works for me.

Thanks for the replies, I was able to get some sleep last night and I thought I might have slept a bit longer than usual, however I woke up at about 2am and I don't think I got back to sleep. I think what I'll do is make sure I am awake by 8am, then try and stay awake until about 8pm. I'll try to make the most of the sleep I get during the day.

I'm glad I could help, if you ever have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you for your kind reply, I must have been asleep for hours because I didn't wake up until the alarm went off. I do feel much better now though, so I guess I did get a bit of a rest.
