What is the difference between time timer mod and home edition?
So after playing the game for a while I had thought about the differences between time mod and home edition.
First off time mod is free, and only has a couple of different levels which you can play. Home edition has a huge amount of content, all in one level, and is a full release.
The main difference is that time mod is in early access, whereas home edition is full released. And then there are the differences between the 2 game modes: Time mod. Home Edition. You start out with a rocket launcher, the ability to change weapons mid battle, the ability to take pictures while flying, and a few other things. You start out with a pulse rifle, the ability to change weapons mid battle, the ability to take pictures while flying, and a few other things. And then there is the difficulty setting for each game. Time mod has hard, time mod has medium, time mod has easy, and home edition has easy, medium, and hard.
I've played time mod on hard, and home edition on easy. And they both have very good graphics.
I was just wondering if there are any more differences that I am not aware of, and what each of them do best. Time mod only has 2 levels, so it's not a full release. You should try out the beta version which has all 3 levels.
On a side note, the story mode on the beta version is very long and very detailed. Also try the multiplayer mode, which is fun. Thanks for your reply! You're welcome. I have played time mod, but I want to try the beta version too. So I'll try the beta version.
One more thing, when trying the beta version, what are the differences from normal time mod?
What is the best timer for ADHD children?
My 3-year-old has been diagnosed with ADHD and is on medication for it.
Because she is on medication, her doctor has made it clear that she needs to continue to take the medication for the rest of her life. I'm having a hard time finding a timer that works with her. She loves music and when she hears a song or sees a picture of a ballerina, she immediately becomes hyper, and can't sit down for 30 minutes. Does anyone have a suggestion for a timer? I've looked at some of the timers on ebay but they seem very expensive for the little I would need. Thanks for your help!
I know this isn't the answer you're looking for, but it's what I can come up with. This type of device has an integrated timer built into it so that it can be set to a specific time. When the timer goes off, it stops playing and shuts off. You can also change the settings to play music for a specified amount of time or until it shuts off (or something else you want).
If you don't like that idea, you could get them for their other music too (they often come with a generic remote control for all your CDs/MP3s/video games/etc). Then I would suggest that she listen to music at work or before bed. It's a common recommendation for ADHD sufferers. They say that listening to music distracts the brain and helps them focus. This works because they know what song to listen to, and they can listen as long as they want without stopping.
You can get the timer at the dollar store, but be careful because they tend to play things from top to bottom. If you put it on "song," it might start playing songs you don't like. It might also play just a short segment and shut off. So, I suggest that you try and find the one that plays from beginning to end.
One thing that works well for my kids is to play one song on repeat and then stop. After the first time, they usually keep listening to it. We then turn it off a few times a day.
If you can find one with an easy to read manual, that will help.
What is the sensory timer for ADHD?
The Sensory Timer is one of several ways to do sensory processing therapy.
It also happens to be an important element of the Sensory Integration and Praxis (SIP) teaching. What do you know about it?
When I ask therapists, students and parents to define what Sensory Integration and Praxis therapy is and what is meant by sensory integration disorder, this is one of the questions that they want me to answer. For whatever reason, most want to know the right answer, even if they have never experienced the technique. Sometimes they are genuinely surprised when I tell them it is a very basic set of tools for understanding sensory input in brain development and dysfunction. But, to get their mind around it, they often first need to know a little more about something called a sensory timer.
So, let's say that your child has a hard time controlling her/his attention at home. You are trying to do family meetings and the phone calls keep interrupting the process. You start to wonder what is going on with your child - they seem unable to concentrate for a long period of time while you have a busy life and a job. As you watch your child you notice that they do not seem to notice, or process, certain sensory information. For example, when your child says no-no! and you think he/she was eating, but turns out it was actually a shout of Stop! because they hear your friend's voice across the table and think that they have to react immediately. They appear to not process the sensory input in a contextual fashion.
A therapist can do a lot of testing to learn more about a person's ability to integrate or process sensory information in an optimal way. You, as a parent, cannot test a child for some things: like sensory processing problems. You cannot take a kid to a movie theater and see how they behave there. You can only do observational testing in a controlled setting where they have done an acceptable amount of exposure to a stimulus without having a meltdown. For you as a parent of a child with a Sensory Integration Disorder, that is the best that you can do for now and will have to do until they are old enough to get an appropriate battery of tests done that allows a clinician to give them an accurate and objective diagnosis of a sensory processing disorder.
