Is the series Reacher on Netflix?

I'm confused as hell about what the official title is.

Should be The Long Road Home for me, but Netflix won't let me put it in the title and it won't put it in the subtitle when I add it in. When I search for it on the Netflix site they show it as The Long Road Home (TV show). But when I go to watch it, there's no title or subtitle. Weird.

If anyone can give a straight answer, I'd appreciate it. There's too much money on this one. We're talking five or six hours of TV every week. And we're trying to build a season. It's a huge commitment. If I can help you out with that one, you can just pay me, you don't have to pay Netflix. It would save you tons of money.

So here's the skinny. We have a book, it's going to be serialized in the print world and then in an audio book on the web. We're selling the ebook of the print version first, and then we'll sell the other versions later. So far, we have three more in the series and we have to know what they are so people know when to order them.

It's like the movies were in the '80s. Then they had the DVDs and they made up their mind about what they wanted to call it.

I was thinking about something like the movie The Long Road Home because we have four books now and we're trying to decide what the next one is going to be called. The way I figure it, if we do the right numbers, the last one is going to be something like Reacher's Path or Reacher's Trail or something like that. Maybe Reacher's Road.

We're trying to figure that out. I'm leaning towards The Long Road Home because I think it sounds a bit better. But then it's going to be confusing to have Reacher: The Long Road Home (the series) and The Long Road Home (the book). I think that's why we don't have it.

The film about a retired military man who stumbles into crimes is now on Hulu. Last summer, the rights to bring Robert Redford's action-drama thriller The Whistleblower to the small screen were up for grabs when a rights holder was still looking to sell. The story about a former Marine who goes AWOL, after being given a diagnosis of PTSD and suffering from paranoia, has since become a hot ticket item at auction houses and studios. The rights eventually went back to the filmmaker, Tom Wilkinson (Sherlock Holmes, Lawless) and writer Jeff Nathanson (Oblivion). However, the rights to the TV adaptation were still in limbo. Not only was there the question of whether Hulu would come onboard, but also whether the new project would follow The Whistleblower's original version or the version developed by the filmmakers, like a sequel or prequel. We do know that Wilkinson and Nathanson started development on a reboot of the original and that they're the ones responsible for bringing the project to Hulu.

A trailer for the pilot dropped on the Internet on Tuesday. If you have been waiting for some kind of news from the project, the trailer is sure to excite. Reacher himself aka Andrew Bynum (played by Scott Shepherd in Redford's 2025 movie) seems to pop right out of frame, walking through the desert and through a door into the television screen.

Wilkinson and Nathanson are developing the TV reboot as a series for ABC, one that follows Reacher as he takes on a life of crime. It's being planned as an action drama, but one with a light touch and a noir influence. It follows the trajectory of how Reacher fits into the underworld, where other people get shot. His job is to clean up the mess and get the bad guys off the streets. For example, a sniper shooting at Reacher gets shot as well. However, instead of sending Reacher to the police, Nathanson explains that the hero takes off with the sniper's rifle.

In a post on his blog announcing that Hulu had picked up the series, Nathanson explains that Reacher is a man who lives on the edge of things.

I've been binge-watching the whole series on Netflix and I was pleased to see a lot of fans liked the show. I watched it on a computer and I kept seeing it pop up as a recommended movie or TV show. I thought it would be good to talk about it.

The story starts out with Jack Reacher (Tom Cruise) getting a job as a driver for a mysterious man. That man is Colonel Richard Turner (Stephen Moyer), a former military investigator who was fired because he couldn't keep his mouth shut about his investigations.

Jack has to drive to the tiny town of Pecos, Texas, where a local woman named Cheryl (Sofia Vergara) has been kidnapped by some of her fellow travelers from the town. They're going to rescue her from a group of people who are planning to sell her to a pimp who wants to use her as a prostitute.

When the car stops at a truck stop in the middle of nowhere, Turner orders Jack to move the car into the back of the truck and get out. Reacher is shocked to learn that he's driving a truck, but he's a good driver. He manages to get the truck to move into the back of the trailer.

Then he discovers that Turner and his men have guns. Reacher tries to put the guns away, but Turner shoots one of them, and then he shoots at Reacher, who is unarmed. When the police come, they have no idea who Reacher is. They take him to the sheriff's office and put him in jail.

After a few days in jail, Turner decides that Reacher should be released. He tells the police that he knows Reacher, but he says nothing else. He takes Reacher to his home and introduces him to his daughter, Tessa (Sarah Wayne Callies). She's a young lady, a lawyer, and she's also investigating the crime that Reacher has been charged with.
