Is Season 2 of Reacher out yet?

I started writing about the Reacher novels in 2025 and have now read over half of them.

(The new one, which comes out tomorrow, is the 16th novel). I'm looking forward to reading Reacher for years and years to come. (The book is currently #7 on Amazon's best-seller list.)

If you haven't yet read the books or watched the TV show, or just want a refresher, here's a rundown of the major characters in the series. Jack Reacher (the main character) is a former army cop who works for the Department of Military Justice. He doesn't have an official job, but has an impressive list of accomplishments, including winning a Silver Star in Afghanistan. In every book, he's the hero, but even though he's a regular guy, he's no pushover. He's a hard-nosed investigator who's willing to use any means necessary to get to the truth.

Reacher has served in the army, is still on active duty, and his military records are classified. There's always a clue about his background, whether it's the hint of an accent, or a certain physical characteristic. He lives with his aunt in Virginia.

Reacher and the other characters are not like normal people. They have superhuman abilities, as well as superior intelligence.

Reacher has no family, and he rarely leaves the DC area. (He's not a drifter; the only place he's ever been is DC, and he doesn't seem to like other places). His favorite thing to do is work. (He doesn't have a lot of friends, but he's got a few good ones.)

When it's time for Reacher to travel, he packs a suitcase full of cash, a gun, and a change of clothes. He's a loner, but he can also get by in a strange town or an unfamiliar city with little trouble.

If you're wondering where the series is going, it's set in a weird future, where crime is rampant, and there's a supercop in DC called the Jackal, who has taken over the government.

The first season of Reacher, starring Tom Cruise as an Army Colonel named Jack Reacher, ran on ABC from 2004-2005 and has become a cult hit. A second season, featuring the return of Tom Cruise as the titular character, was announced in 2025. Will it ever be finished? Find out below.

The first season of Reacher starred Tom Cruise as a highly trained military investigator named Jack Reacher. The show ran for two seasons and is in development for a third, but this time Reacher will be heading to space. The show was developed by Edward Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz, and featured a number of guest stars, including Rosario Dawson, James Cromwell and Brian Cox.

The third season, which began filming in June, will be written by John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side) and directed by Christopher McQuarrie (Jack Reacher). The script has been completed and the plot details are being kept secret, but a few more clues have been released.

One major difference between the first two seasons and this third one is that, unlike the first two, this will be filmed entirely in 3D. This, of course, means that Reacher will be able to move about on his own in a number of different ways - without having to rely on a stuntman, the director will be able to move Reacher around in a way that the first two couldn't.

Production has been split between London, Scotland and Georgia for the last few months. Most of the filming so far has been taking place at Shepperton Studios in Surrey, but the BBC are using the former nuclear testing site at Salisbury, where scenes will be filmed next year, for one of the locations.

The show follows in the footsteps of shows like The Fugitive and The X-Files and is a departure from Tom Cruise's usual, big-budget blockbusters, such as Mission Impossible, Minority Report and The Last Samurai.e. What do you think?
