The first season of Jack Reacher was a bit of a roller coaster of an experience, but it was well worth the ride for fans of Tom Cruise and Christopher McQuarrie's take on Lee Child's best-selling thriller novels.

Not only did the first season of Jack Reacher pick up where The Tourist left off in terms of Tom Cruise and his exploits in 1980s America, but it took the stories that would become the foundation of two novels - Run All Night and Killing Floor - and brought them to life. It also featured some of the best performances by the cast, including some of the best moments from Lee Child's novels. And as Tom Cruise's star power has waned over the past two decades, audiences have been more than willing to let the man who made one of the most badass action stars in modern cinema be replaced with the equally awesome Jason Bourne franchise.

When I read the news, I could not stop thinking what they did not say.they said "it would be a long period of time before we can decide whether we're gonna do another season", "I think you know the answer to that", or "I don't know". And the last thing they mentioned was "we always get questions about season 2". All of them sound like they mean it and it is still a great honor for them to make this statement. But if I were the producer, I would really like to have an idea about how the story will end so that I can make some plans for the next season. But they just said "a long period of time" and said "the next one is going to be an adaptation of Michael Cimino's The Searchers". Do you think that a story that is that big, would make an appropriate Reacher season 2?

And about the ending of season 1, I had to take the liberty to choose the best ending possible for my mind. Because, when I saw the trailer of season 2, I read what was written here, I saw the characters like Reacher did and I imagined what the ending will be. And I thought that, since "The Old Man" is dead, Reacher and Susan will get married and will be very happy.

The first one felt pretty complete. Although I don't think I ever really got the "big picture", it felt as if all the pieces were there, and the pieces were consistent. So I'm with you on hoping they bring us a new season soon, but I doubt it, they want to wait until the ending plays out.
