How do I restart Safari on my iPad air?
I am in the process of restoring a 1-year old iPad.
It had some problems with the restore, so I chose to do a "full" restore, which seems to have worked except for Safari, which is just as I had left it. I have been in and out of Safari and I see that it has a "restore from backup". Is there any way to restore this data? Or do I need to start over with the first time of the new iPad?
My original question was: ? For some reason, the problem won't go away; my Safari settings and bookmarks aren't there and I can't get the Safari application to run. Please help! Answer:Safari on my iPad air is not responding and I can't find the application. I was looking at "sending an email", and in the search box I put: send an email (minus the "-"). I was very happy because I thought that it found my email address, but no, it said: "Not found". Is there any other way to look for the location of my email? Answer:Can't find the Safari Application on my iPad air, and don't know how to restart it. I was looking at "sending an email", and in the search box I put: send an email (minus the "-").
Why is my Safari not opening pages?
I am unable to open sites from the browser.
Some sites work, some don't. I can access the sites using my Windows phone and Android phone, or any laptop using the same Wi-Fi.e. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
Hi @drdyer1 - We are having issues reaching iTunes as of yesterday evening. This is currently being investigated by Apple but it is a temporary issue at the moment. Please try again a bit later - hopefully it will be working then. Sorry for the inconvenience. Apple is aware of the issue and is investigating it. If the issue returns, please let us know so we can investigate.
Hi @kristieh330611, I did some test on the new iPhone XR. It seems that there is no fix for this issue until 10pm PST (November 3) in the US. From then on, we should be able to solve this problem if we all work together to find a solution (which is also my plan). Let us work together, okay?
We still need a workaround for those with Apple Watch Series 2, which will stop receiving calls on iOS 10.2 if you don't have your wrist strap on the Watch. As a workaround, please set it up to use the phone when making or receiving calls, just like you do normally. For example:
Open FaceTime. Scroll down to the Video/Audio Call icon and select Start on My iPhone. If you do not receive cellular data during call times, this will keep your Watch from trying to use it. I hope Apple can fix it soon so we don't need this workaround. But if you need it, don't forget about this workaround.
Hi everyone.
Why are certain websites not loading on my iPad?
When I use my iPad to visit some websites, sometimes the whole page doesn't load.
I can't scroll down the page, and clicking on links or text takes me to a blank page.
If I try to load the same page on my computer or on my Android phone, it works perfectly. I've tried on both my Wi-Fi and cellular data connections, and the problem occurs both on the iPad and in Safari.e. It doesn't occur when I'm on the desktop version of the website.
In Safari on the iPad, I get the following error: The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading. I've also tried reloading the page, but that didn't work. I tried the iPad's developer mode and the same thing happened. Why is this happening? My iPad is running iOS 9.1.2.
I'm using the iPhone 6 Plus as a wireless access point. I'm using an Airport Express for my wired network. I'm using my MacBook Pro (2016) as my desktop. How do I fix Safari not loading web pages on iPad?
I have a MacBook with latest Snow Leopard.
Everything works fine on this computer except that the iPad does not load Safari.e. I connect the iPad to my MacBook via USB, and it is the only device connected. On my MacBook, the "Open in" menu opens up, but when I click "Safari" it does not launch.
On my MacBook, "Check for new plug-ins" gives me no errors, so I can't believe that is causing the issue. Also, I can run the Apple Diagnostics Tool (ADT) and find that my computer does not have an error. Also, it is set to use "iPad Only" (when I go into my preferences, it is set to "Mac and iPad", not sure if this makes a difference or not).
Any ideas how I can get my iPad to work with my MacBook? You can try to reset your iPad. To do this press and hold the Power/Volume up button until you see the Apple symbol. Then press and hold the Home button while keeping the Power/Volume button pressed. When the iPad shuts down restart it by pressing the Home and power buttons at the same time until the iPad restarts.
Then open Safari and go to www.apple.com/getamac to install the iWeb app.
You can also reinstall iOS 4 from the latest Cydia Jailbreak by going to downloading any one of the iOS 4 cydia apps and installing it using the installer. Your iPad will reboot so stay connected over USB and get the installer installed properly then download the latest 3.2.6 jailbreak (currently) and install it over Wi-Fi and then use 3.6 Cydia app to install other cydia apps you want.
IPad2, ios 4 (3. I did try to turn on/off Wi-Fi in the iPad's preferences, but that didn't make any difference. After pressing and holding the Power/Volume down buttons and hitting the Home button on my iPad, nothing happened.
