How do I block an app on my Samsung?
I've been using this guide for a long time now, it allows me to block any app that I choose. I have the app I want blocked on my Samsung, however it's not working. Is there a problem with the app I'm trying to block? Am I doing something wrong here?
Here's how you get rid of an app you don't like on your Samsung. Open your device's Settings. Go to Display & Sound > Apps. Tap on your app. Go to Advanced. Tap on "Force Stop". Go back to your previous page. Tap on Force Stop. Tap on Block. What are my alternatives for blocking apps that I don't like? If the above method doesn't work then I suggest looking through our alternatives as they offer the same kind of feature where you can choose apps and force them to be uninstalled. The difference is you can install apps you find useful when you're browsing Google Play or the App Store (you'll need to go to Settings > Apps).
Is there a downside to the above method? The app can then launch again from within the app drawer or from Google Play. Also, you might want to uninstall the app before uninstalling it via the Android Settings > Apps screen as these can be quite similar to one another.
What I need to know is. Is there a possibility I can use all 3 methods at once for instance, is the first one the way I can get rid of a non-playstore app from my Samsung and the other 2 to unblock apps like Playstore that I actually like the software of? So that's how you block an app on your Samsung, if you're happy with the above method then be sure to check out our Best VPNs, Best VPN Router and Best Phone Routers categories. If you require any help with any of the above or indeed a different category simply leave a comment below and we'll be happy to provide more information to assist you with your purchase.
Can I disable Samsung Internet app?
I've found that this app has no purpose in my life and it's always installed on my devices.
Also, every time I reboot the device, it downloads and installs this app again (every day). Can I disable it? Is there any other good alternative for browser?
Yes, you can disable the Samsung internet app from the play store. To do so, go to App > Uninstall and look for the app you want to disable. Hit Uninstall and it will remove the app.
Can I turn off internet on Samsung phone?
Hi I want to turn off the internet on my Samsung Note 3.
I can't find the switch or something like that. I want it shut off so I can watch an online movie at a later time. Is this possible?
Thanks for the link, that is what I had though. The reason I had not thought of this before is that even if you can turn it off, you are still connected to the internet. So you will have to either be connected on another device when you are ready to watch the movie or download it.
Thank you. I have been having trouble using the mobile web browser (chrome) on my samsung mobile to connect to yahoo.com as it keeps asking me to sign in even though I have already done so and have created an account on the yahoo website. The same thing happens when I use yahoo mail and it keeps asking me to sign in even though I already have. Any ideas? I want to use a different browser to load the websites. But I keep getting the warning message: "You are offline".
I tried resetting my router several times, but there were no problems with the internet connection when I used to use the laptop's internet. Maybe the problem comes from my cellphone, and not the router. Could someone help me, please?
This is my first post. I think I can understand most things, but my question might sound stupid. I bought a 2gb micro SD and a card reader a few days ago. How do I download a program on the SD card? Or where can I download all the apps and things that you need for daily use?
Hello, I'm a highschooler and I'm in love with the Galaxy Note 3. However, I don't own it and I don't know how to read it. I don't know what to say. Do you have any advice on how to read it? My best friend gave me the phone (he has the same model and color) and he says I can read it and use all the functions. I would really like to see the movies, pictures, etc. Thanks!
I have found a tutorial on how to do this on youtube. It's here: ().
Can you disable internet on a smartphone?
By Dave Lee
Technology reporter, BBC News Published duration 23 September 2024.
image copyright Getty Images. It's not a crime to commit a crime on your smartphone - but it might end up in jail nonetheless. In fact, it doesn't even have to be a phone at all. As long as you're using a mobile data connection to get online via a smartphone or tablet then you could be committing a crime against the state.
Criminals could see their sentences cut after judges decided that crimes committed on computers or phones should be considered in the same light as they are now. Now, we know that our smartphones make us slightly giddy with convenience and social anxiety, but can we really consider that we commit crimes on them all day every day? A law enforcement officer told the BBC that if it were possible to disable the internet on a device, they wouldn't have much power. "If someone comes into my house and turns off my computer and monitors my web activity and I'm trying to talk to you over the phone here, you just have no control over the situation," he explained. "You're in a jail cell waiting to go to trial. It's a very serious offence."
He said an attempt to disable the internet would usually involve accessing specific files that identify an IP address. It takes someone at a command centre to actually do this for a particular device, he said.
"The best we can do, depending on the size of the country and the jurisdiction, is disable a computer and tell the judge there's nothing showing on screen," he said. "We're going to show him a screen and say, 'It looks like your guy is viewing some stuff that I can't see.' "Then we send you an email with what's wrong and the court goes back to sentencing." So, it's technically possible, but it's hardly practical. The next part of the conversation veered towards whether it's possible to disable the internet for a smartphone remotely, but there are ways around this too.
