Can you disable internet on an Android phone?
For years, users have been asking how to get rid of the 'internet' app on their Android devices.
You might not need it every single day but it sure is handy to have that internet button when you do. In most cases, you can disable the app in your device settings and avoid it showing up on your phone menu at all times. But what about a more serious need where disabling internet on a certain phone is a huge necessity? Can you really turn off the internet on a rooted or unlocked Android device? Is that even possible? Let's find out.
How to disable internet on an Android device. In most of the cases, the 'internet' option is hidden from the device user interface. So to access it, you must enable the hidden features and the options are scattered over different places in the device settings menu. When you press the 'settings' option from your phone's home screen, you can see a list of icons that help you access the device settings. One of them is the 'advanced features' option which is located at the bottom of the menu. Under this option, there is an option called 'hidden features'. The 'hidden features' will let you disable some of the features of your device and among them are 'internet', 'mms', 'telephone', and 'music playback'.
If you want to stop playing the music or accessing the internet from your phone, go into the hidden features option and disable the music and internet options. Do remember to enable the option again when you are done.

Now when you turn the Wi-Fi option back on, the 'internet' option will be available again.
How do I permanently turn off the internet?
I have a MacBook Pro.
I use it all the time. I always have. I don't ever leave it connected to the internet. I just use it as an occasional portable desktop computer for browsing the web, installing software and programs. It has never been connected to the internet, so why would it now be asking for my admin password?
I have been trying to turn it off for the last couple of days and tried to turn the internet off, but when I restart the computer and look for a network icon in the dock to shut down the internet and check out where the internet is at, I can't find any icon. It seems like the internet is turned on with no internet connect.
Hi, there's a couple of things you could try.but, I need to know more information.
So, what operating system are you using? How is your computer connected? How old is it? Have you ever run it without the Internet connection? Also, I think it's important to tell us the make and model number of the computer. Have you ever been using any Internet connection? Was that while using it on a regular basis? A new mac uses a special version of OSX that does not support older versions of apps or updates; this is the case of MacOS High Sierra version 10.13. (Mac OS X version 10.11 El Capitan is not compatible with newer Macs). So, if you do not use your Mac on a regular basis, you might want to turn it off and then back on again once more in order to receive the latest update. This is the same if you update your Mac on your own or if the manufacturer/ seller provides the update to you. You may contact the seller for this update.
But, if your Mac needs to be updated, you have to update your machine first; once you're done with it, you might be able to turn it off and back on again (as I've said before, this is because of a new version of the operating system). And you may restart your Mac even if you don't update it to the latest version.
Hi guys, so I just upgraded from Lion to Sierra. I can't seem to get the network off.
How to permanently disable Mobile data on Android?
- Xposed module
When Google launched and Android Nougat there was a major change in the way it managed your mobile data usage.
If we do not want to opt for third-party solutions, then only one option is left open and that is using the Xposed Module called "Data Saver".
For those who don't know what Xposed is, I will mention the same again - an Xposed module is an open-source framework that allows developers to inject modules into running applications. Xposed allows you to modify system settings of your own OS without having to root or flash custom recoveries.
Let's check out how we can permanently disable Mobile data on your smartphone or tablet by using this Xposed Module called Data Saver. Download Xposed Framework. Install Xposed framework. First of all, go to the play store and download the official repository of the latest release of Xposed on your device. We will be using this app for installing Xposed modules.
Once you have installed this app, go to the settings of Xposed and enable the "Developer Mode" of the application. Then search for "Data Saver" and install the module. Now, let's check out some options available from the same interface of Xposed framework. Go to the menu and select "Developer Settings." And here we get to see almost everything required by us in order to achieve the desired result. The first option Disable Mobile Data will completely prevent your device from accessing data until you activate the feature of Data Saver by turning on the toggle.
Let's quickly glance over some of the important options. There is also a "Developer Options" button where you can enable or disable any feature related to debugging, like logging or profiling tools. It's important that you should never ever enable these features. These are meant for debugging only.
You will also get an option for disabling the device's battery and for killing all the activities. So I hope you are not interested in these.
If you are not too sure about the default behavior, you should make use of the option to check whether your mobile has its default behavior or not.
