Wally Wingert is a fictional character in the long-running American animated television series The Simpsons, voiced by actor Wally Wingert.

He was originally voiced by actor Rob Riggle from Season 1 to 11, then by actor Jason Bateman from Season 12 to 25. Riggle returned for the show's 30th anniversary special, and reprised the role for all of season 26 and all of season 27, making him the only actor to voice the character since the show's debut.

Biography. In the beginning. Wally first appears in The Simpsons at the end of the first season's "Whacking Day". Wally is known as a good man, and a loving father, often seen playing with his daughter or taking care of his grandchildren. He is extremely protective of his family, even going as far as getting the family a pet dog named "Spanky". However, at times, he can be quite childish, although he has more grown up sides. He is also a very kind-hearted and forgiving man, and has been shown to be a loyal friend to Homer and Marge.

Relationships. Wally was a friend of Homer's when he was a child, and has remained a friend throughout the series. They go on many adventures together throughout the show's history. Wally is also a close friend of Bart's. When Bart and Lisa begin to have trouble with bullies, Wally steps in to help them. He becomes good friends with Lisa and helps her get over her bully problems.
