You can actually do this, but it's much more effort than just clicking the link. You can install the youtubeextendedplayer extension and it will allow you to use the google account login to see your youtube videos. You'll have to type in your password and allow access to your google account and then hit the login button and it'll take you to your video page.

I have done this and I can confirm it works. Now I just need to figure out how to set up a google calendar entry for the time I watch my videos. I have a laptop and phone. Thanks for the info!
