It was about an application layer encryption system called SPAKE.
The protocol works based on a series of challenge/response exchanges between two parties. The party generating the challenge and the party receiving it is always referred to as Alice and Bob respectively. In order to authenticate their identity each party generates a cryptographic hash of a password they are sharing as a secret. They then compute a shared-secret from the challenges they receive in exchange for their shared secrets. The hash function in the protocol has a parameter that is called H1. It turns out that all of the authentication exchanges between Alice and Bob are in fact H1 (in some particular orders) and that H1 happens to be what you commonly know as an IP address.
You can read the draft here, which I am not recommending as it's in draft form. The only reason I linked to it was so that I could follow it. It uses a lot of jargon and cryptography.] We present analysis of one version of SPAKE over an IPSec tunnel between "Alice" and "Bob". Here we assume for the sake of argument that the packets transmitted by Alice and Bob have a well-defined source and destination IP address; this is actually not true for IP packets. While other analyses based on these assumptions are possible, they tend to be rather complicated. For example, the full complexity of the relationship between the IP addresses in question and the challenge/response hash functions involved can be shown to be at least exponential in the size of the input bit string. Rather than trying to solve the IP security problem using general definitions, this note presents a detailed account of how the authentication function and associated parameters in a particular scenario work, how they can be exploited to break a key exchange, and how they could be analyzed and defended against.

How do I find my IP location?
The IP location of an Android device or a computer can be found using Google, and there is a simple way to do it: Type the website www.
Ip-adress.com into your Android or computer browser and tap Go.
The website will then use your internet service provider and find out which country you are located in. If you get a response, the country is highlighted on the map, as in the image below. The image below shows the address of the website where you get your IP address. If you're not at home, you will probably also get a phone number. I have a VPN. How do I use it? Using the VPN makes your network traffic untraceable (more secure). The VPN server makes your devices appear to be located in another country, thus avoiding being tracked by your ISP. That means that your internet traffic and applications will appear to be sent from another location and should be more secure.
Unfortunately, Android doesn't support the L2TP (Linux 2.2 Tunneling Protocol) protocol out of the box. In order to use it, you'll need to follow a few steps.
The first step is to make sure you've installed the OpenVPN app in the Android store. Steps. Open the Apps menu on your smartphone and select Settings. Tap More then Find Apps.
Search for OpenVPN and install it. Once open, a pop up window will ask if you want to add the OpenVPN server as one of your apps. Select yes.
Open the Settings app and find the Apps & Notifications section. Tap on it and select OpenVPN.
Select the Connect tab. You will be asked to provide a username and password for the server.
Tap on the VPN tab and set the Server as the name of the VPN server you want to use. On the Server list, you should see your VPN server. Check the option to Use as default VPN.
Turning Off Location Services. Location information is needed by a lot of apps to track your whereabouts. You need to turn off the location service to limit this information to just one application.
You need to do this in order to save battery.
