Was T.Pol in love with Archer?

Who played Tpau in Enterprise?

I know they tried to do a "Next Generation" Picard, with a lot of fans complaining that it was too much like their "favorite".

I would have appreciated it much better if they had kept Tpau's original lines and appearance. They did a good job with making Tpau, while still different, look like Picard.

Yes, we tried that too, although I'm not sure what happened, but maybe it was just too much like his original appearance? Perhaps it was a combination of the producers' (and/or writers') opinions or perceptions of what Tpau looked like, as well as a fear of being too close to our "favorite" Picard. We also tried to go with more of a "Borg" look, so we had Borg cubes in various different designs going across the ceiling (which in turn created another problem, in that you couldn't see who was talking on the bridge in certain episodes), but it was difficult to keep that consistency between the two cast members. I'm not sure why, but this happened over and over again, with the studio just ignoring it every time.

We tried so many things and never saw any of it come to light until some of us were lucky enough to see a preview of Discovery and thought, "WTF!". The idea of keeping Tpau as an older Picard was discussed at the time. The problem is that it was a concept that was a tough sell. That said, the decision to keep Tpau's look was always going to be a difficult one. We tried to make it work a number of different ways. One of the hardest aspects of Tpau was trying to convince people to not only like him, but think he was cool. We even played around with the idea of having him be an older Picard, but in those early days it was a really hard sell. In the end, it was probably the right call, but it didn't come without many challenges along the way.

I'm just disappointed that there was never a proper explanation as to what happened. I think that, in the days when were all still wondering where the Enterprise D went, having Tpau look too similar to the series lead was a tough pill to swallow.

I'd like to know about how you feel about the Tpau look in ST:TNG.

What happened to T.Pol after Enterprise?

Okay, I'll admit I haven't been on for a while.

I came here looking for the answer to this question and I wasn't expecting to find it. I guess my point is, why didn't T.Pol come back for Season 5? I was really hoping they'd let him have a few more episodes on the show. My best guess would be that he was killed off, but I want to hear your thoughts on it.

And yeah, just because I had been on doesn't mean I'll necessarily do a good job of this, but I'm going to give it my best shot. T. Pol was killed off, not dead. After getting his head stuck in a chute he was sent through the entire length of the ship's hull, his internal organs were shredded and he died of internal bleeding.

If you check the episode transcript from last year, there was a discussion about bringing T. Pol back from the dead. It had been brought up earlier in the season, when T. Pol, Scotty and Chekov had all been trapped in the transporter room.

You can also check some of the behind the scenes information from the DVD releases (particularly "Behind the Locked Door"). T.

I've read this many times, but I've always wondered if that wasn't the result of an accident. And even if it was a result of an accident, I wonder if they felt T. Pol deserved to die after he had been "dead" for a while. Pol come back for Season 5?
