They can then communicate with them through Axway's inbuilt messaging tools. Employees see and respond to these alerts on the go, so managers get messages in one place. With Axway, business apps and information, such as employee health records, files, and contact details, are accessible from any internet-connected device, giving workers peace of mind and the ability to focus on what matters - solving problems, making orders, and getting things done.
What does Axway give you? You get a mobile workforce management app that includes Axway, SMS, Email, App alerts and mobile data usage tracking, giving you more effective management of mobile personnel. Why choose Axway's managed file transfer? Mobile technology has transformed life in the workplace but it's still easy to lose track of how many files are being shared, where they are stored, or who's got access to them. Axway manages files like you're dealing with important, confidential, and often very valuable information. All your personal files are stored in the cloud, giving you secure, online storage while saving you money by avoiding onsite server costs. Axway managed file transfer offers security for you, the employer and all employees. Employees sign up to Axway's Terms & Conditions to protect against unexpected charges, while also ensuring they comply with their agreements. To top it off, managed file transfer is integrated with Axway's SMS / Email services, offering mobile and email as a seamless extension of your managed file transfer.
What is the most secure file transfer service?
You want to transfer a file but don't want to send the entire project.
We understand that. And as a result, we want to help you get ready for your projects by providing tips on how to transfer those valuable files with the utmost safety and security.
We have tried out all of the most secure file transfer service online, including ones that don't come with a download limit or one where files can't be deleted on either end. We were left with three services that we highly recommend: FTP, Fast File Transfer (FastFT) and CryptoLink.
The best file transfer service to use is the one that meets your needs. We've tested them all. FTP, the most popular file transfer protocol that was used during the early internet, uses plain text credentials. Your login and password are sent in clear text and stored unencrypted for transfer later. This is a weak and unsecure method to file transfer.
FTP has never been upgraded to SSL-compatible TLS. Meaning, it never went beyond plain text authentication because of these issues. Also, an FTP server only stores a temporary password. Once it's used for its limited session, it's expired. This means that an attacker can steal these credentials and access the FTP account without ever having access to the original credentials.
What does FTP look like? What's in the way of good FTP clients for Android? Fast File Transfer (FastFT) changed FTP into a more secure protocol, which involves SSL-secured transfer of credentials. This secures the transfer by encrypting the username and password. It's also safer because these credentials aren't stored on the FTP server. The client is the only device that has access to them. This makes it harder for an attacker to crack the protocol.
So what exactly does FTP/FastFT get you besides more security for the transfer? It's faster than sending files through email and a web browser. This isn't much of a benefit. There's a speed improvement, but we're talking about transferring about 5 MB of content. That's not even 20 minutes of time, let alone something that takes two days to send. We would say that faster is in the ballpark of sending 10 GB through a slow WiFi network on a smartphone, versus sending it through FTP.
So are they slow transfers? Transfer speeds depend on a lot of variables.
