How do I use Glassdoor if I've never had a job?

I just downloaded Glassdoor (not my first choice as this program, btw) but I'm not sure where to go. There are all kinds of tabs, but I have no idea what they are. For example, is it possible to just search for people in certain areas or are you looking at all jobs? Help!

I think this depends on the kind of job. Some jobs might not list positions available but most listing jobs available, so you can filter that tab. Good luck with the download, I think it's well worth it.

I'm new to glassdoor, and I don't know why some people are hating. I've been using them for over a year and haven't a problem yet. I have a lot of help with the application process from their support staff. Also, there is an interview tab on the site you can use to have an interview sent to you. I did mine in my lunch break.

You would probably find most entry level jobs are listed in the job type section and are in most cities. However, in my job as a recruiter (yes, I'm a recruiter), I do research on other sources such as the web, google, and even emailing the actual businesses to see if they are hiring.

Also, what I mean is if I'm a recruiter and a manager has hired an HR person and I can find out their info from the company website. That kind of info isn't going to come through glassdoor.
