I am creative, motivated, enthusiastic, outgoing, and a firm believer in the old adage You've got to be in it to win it. What types of work you do now? I am an independent graphic designer and illustrator who primarily creates advertising, packaging, and brand identity work. My day job, currently, is Director of Illustration at IW Group Inc. Which specializes in creative direct marketing and new media. In my spare time (oh yeah, I love doing that) I produce visual solutions and art for various small businesses and individuals.

Where did you study or what do you have a degree in? I graduated from the California College of the Arts in San Francisco with a BFA in Illustration/Animation in 2024. I studied animation, computer graphics, and illustration.

I didn't get my degree right away but instead took several illustration classes after graduation at several local art schools. In 2024, I decided to jump start my career in graphic design by attending the prestigious Art Directors Guild School of Design for an advanced program of Illustration. I loved it. Every class was always fun, informative, and full of interesting projects. I learned a ton and received an award for it in 2024.

Today, I also teach my own private graphic design workshops. How old are you when you started working as a graphic designer? 16-years-old. 18-years-old. 4 years ago. When did you begin to design what kind of work you do? The earliest job I had was designing album cover art for a music label back when Napster was still the primary way music could be shared. I was about 14 years old at the time. Later, I used Photoshop CS3 and other editing tools to create visual solutions for some high school seniors in their senior photos for college applications. It is very exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time. This was a really wonderful experience and I learned a lot about the work of fine art and graphic design in the process.
