You're able to download your favorite game or stream Netflix without the wait, lag, and buffering that usually plagues such things. But like most things in life, the Internet is not perfect. Even on the fastest connections out there, there are parts of the world where you experience lag or just the feeling that maybe you didn't just download or stream as much as you thought. Thankfully, we have VPNs, which give us a secure, private connection to bypass these places and maintain a constant high speed. When Private Internet Access was announced recently, we were intrigued, but also concerned, since our previous experiences with the service weren't exactly great. This might be an okay deal for you if it actually gives you the connections you were promised, but our testing did not find it so.

In this review, we're going to cover Private Internet Access's biggest selling points and areas where it falls short, then compare it to its closest alternative, HideMyAss. We'll also throw in a few words about security and VPNs in general for good measure.

Private Internet Access's big selling point is unlimited data with no caps. There's a 14-day free trial period before you need to subscribe, but that's only if you like the service. It's worth noting here that PIA is a pretty small company compared to many other providers; our sources say they only employ around 30 people. It can be helpful to think of this as a side business, something to fund bigger goals, and not as their primary endeavor. At the time of writing, the service had more than 3 million users, according to the official website. Of those, over 1.4 million are paying customers. We had great success and speedy connections running our tests on the free tier.

How PIA works. PIA operates in the same manner as a traditional VPN. You install the PIA client on the device you want to use it from, which will run the Private Internet Access client.

Why is PIA not working on my iPhone?

The current issue is that the PIA website is not working on my iPhone. It is not loading and it does not open up and only the address bar is visible.

I have tried this on two different iPhones, but neither worked. Please help, how to fix this problem. UPDATE: I have changed my SIM to a new one, and again tried. It did not work. It has given me a connection error.

Still, please try to understand what is the problem. The PIA website is not working on my iPhone. It opens up in Safari, but there is nothing there. I just see the address bar.

I had been using Vonage's PIA VPN for a while, and I was really happy with it.

Yesterday, I signed up for PIA (and, as a side note, I'm very happy with my Vonage deal now, as they're having problems with their service, and I've switched to them). However, I read somewhere that the iPhone doesn't play nicely with the PIA app, and I just bought a new iPhone. It's fine if the PIA app doesn't work for iPhone, but then I won't be able to access the internet through it. If this is the case, what else do I need to do on my PC in order to get internet access through my iPhone? Is it as simple as downloading the PIA app from the App Store?

Also, I'd like to mention that the Vonage service for the iPhone and Android phones is much slower than the service on my PC. Can anyone think of anything that I could be doing wrong that would cause the speed to be slow on the iPhone? I have to wait at least 10-15 seconds for each web page to load, and when I load videos, they're extremely choppy.95/month, but it's definitely not up to snuff as far as speed.

That said, we are currently working on some new features to help you with connectivity. We hope to have those out early in the week. I'll pass this info along to you.
