Is Private Internet Access safe?
I have been using Private Internet Access for the last couple of years and I have found it to be a very useful tool. I am a bit concerned about the privacy of my data over the internet but if the service is safe to use I will continue to use it.
Also, I have been browsing the internet for a couple of weeks and I have noticed that a lot of web sites have been blocked by Private Internet Access. I know that this is a free service and I am not upset about it. Is it safe to use the service to block web sites?
Thanks. Zoom. 16-10-2011, 06:12 PM. Private Internet Access is a very useful tool and it is 100% safe for use. You can't get more private than that.
However, all traffic at PIA is encrypted using the AES256 algorithm. This means that my traffic is not visible to anyone unless they have access to the PIA account that you are using.
What this also means is that the PIA service does not block any sites. It only blocks the traffic to those sites that you have chosen to block.
You decide what sites you block by going to the block list and adding or removing sites that you want to block. I think you may be confusing PIA with a Virtual Private Network (VPN) service. VPNs are used to connect to an internet service provider (ISP) and they allow you to access the internet through them.

How secure is PIA?
Posted Aug 8, 2022 at 01:52 PM. In the mileu of i.t, security is king. Who in their right minds would be running a business that permits data breaches or independent inquiries into their systems? Well, if you are the Government of Pakistan, apparently, that's exactly what's going on! But does this fit with Pakistan's supposedly draconian security standards?
Well, like all things, PK has a different tone in its legislation relating to security and scandal, or allegations to that effect, and then the same applies to the. In the wake of the recent Dr Ozair Gul security meeting, all eyes are focussed on the Pakistan Intelligence Services. (I.e, the people in the top echelons, the ones who are buying up hundreds of thousands worth of US Military surplus goods). The Pak Army is already a fairly constrained force, but stories like these certainly help incentive them to ramp up their forces on threats from India and Afghanistan. While the only big Indian intervention
Like almost everything else in Pakistan, the state of PK's security systems have been in a parabolic spiral. As a direct and indirect result of Pakistan's military's failed operations and the drone attacks (that Pakistan is claiming weren't there at all) on their forces, the state has spurned on a new fervor for defense, both for themselves and against India and Afghanistan.
And yet they've ignored their own security. In fact, their so called "security" has cemented -- no, it is the undisputed fact -- Pakistan's held in high regard in the region; as equally a proxy for the US and an official anti-India ally. A dubious achievement when you consider that Pakistan's military is notorious for it's duplicity and immense military budgets. Is it any wonder then that this unchallenged, and entirely solvable, problem has remained largely untangled and under-managed?
My observation is that there isn't that much going on in the recent security meetings just and again an immense number of them (in presidential terms) is made over a relatively short period of time. This coming on the heels of the assassination of the politicians (like that time period spans) would tend to say something pretty profound.
Most sane folks would then examine the currently available literature for the possible repercussions of thousands of political assassinations on the security system being practiced sufficiently and with some foresight.
