What are good clean shows to watch?
I watch almost all of them, although lately I've been enjoying a few more than usual.
I've been watching a lot of the Doctor Who stuff lately on Sci-fi, and it's awesome. The new season is just starting now, and I think it's going to be good, and I look forward to seeing if it can match up to last year's one. I've been watching the Stargate SG-1 & Atlantis episodes (again on Sci-Fi) and I think they're pretty good, and the only thing I can complain about is how much I like it. (well, they are really the only shows I watch on Sci-Fi)
Then there are the newer science fiction shows (which I like much better than the older ones I mentioned before) that are on the History channel that I like too, like Sliders and Manimal, and the newest show I watch is Warehouse 13, which I think is pretty good. But what are some of the others I should check out, that I have not yet tried? And I don't just mean the new shows I'm mentioning.
I like Babylon 5. Or rather, I liked it. It wasn't exactly my favorite show, but I didn't find it boring either. After watching the DVD set I realized what was wrong, and why it wasn't my favorite. The whole series takes place in the same fictional universe, but it's really only the first few seasons that are worth watching. The second through the fifth seasons are pretty bad (although they still had good moments). The first season is absolutely great. I'd recommend watching it as a collection of the best episodes.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. It's been a long time since I watched this show. I really enjoyed the original series, but DS9 has always been the best. I know I've heard that the new movie will actually be based on this series. That should be good. I'm really looking forward to it.
Doctor Who. I love this show. It's funny that I'm finding myself liking it more and more. I still think it's got lots of flaws, and I've seen some episodes that really disappointed me, but the good ones seem to be growing more and more. I like a good mystery show. I hate a good "police procedural", or an episode that is all exposition. This show has both.
Where can I watch the family TV series?
Hi!
I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for where you can watch the new Family Channel series The Vampire Diaries with John Stamos in it, and/or any other TV show on the channel. I am trying to find it online and have been looking for the past few days. Thanks in advance.
Replies to This Posting. Hi Sarah. When you signed up for your new channel, did you go to the section for the Family Channel and not the regular channel? If so, what you describe sounds like what you're seeing. It may be just that no one's ever heard of the place but you'd have to call the local channel in your area to find out where the Family Channel is.
Hope this helps. I know what you mean about finding it.
Family Channel has always been on the dish line, so you get the channels listed there. If you are in a part of the country where that is a channel offered, chances are very good that you have that channel. If you aren't, and you don't have a cable company that offers that particular channel, chances are really good that there isn't a channel on the list for that part of the country.
I use Tivo to make sure I'm never without something to watch when I'm home alone. While it is a bit different, it is the easiest way to view all my favorites at one time.
Family channels are very rarely available on Dish (especially as they've changed quite a bit lately). With the number of channels we get every day through our Dish receivers, we can only watch a small amount through anything else. And even those shows tend to have commercials (with Family Channel, of course). We would need to purchase the entire network package for us to be able to view any TV shows or movies that way. In all likelihood we'll be moving back to DirecTV next year (they offer Family channels on there, and you can't get them anywhere else.)
For our cable internet connection, we use a wireless router. This means that any device on our LAN can access the internet from any device anywhere on our property. Since we don't charge by the month, we've bought the router and each of our computers, laptops, etc.00.
