The Wire is definitely the best thing I've watched on Netflix and the only one worth a second watch. It's about a Baltimore City police detective, and there are nine seasons of the series. Each season has three to four episodes, and each episode usually has a plot arc that spans a couple of episodes.

Other than that, it's probably better to just go to the iTunes store and pick up a few episodes. For a 13 year old, you'd want to see the first season, since it's got the biggest plot arc and most plot twists. Then again, I'm not 13, so I'm just guessing at what 13 year olds would want.

Boardwalk Empire, a TV show from HBO, has the same style as The Wire, and it's also about police detectives. There's only 2 seasons of it, and they're pretty much done.

That was the first thing I ever thought when I started writing a Best of 2024 article.

I love Netflix because it's a way to find the best content out there in a medium that's convenient to use. The website is easy to navigate, there are no subscription or installation costs, and so it's extremely easy to find the best movies, television shows, and movies out there on the platform.

The idea of this particular list came to me in December of 2024 and the process took about six months to complete. After gathering all the data from user voting I decided to take a look at how the overall votes went throughout the show's run so far. To get an idea of how well each episode was received by users, you'll be able to see how well their Netflix shows rated this past year. For example, the show Big Mouth only received 20 votes for the 2024 season, while Stranger Things received 1,037 votes for the 2024 season alone.

Let's dive right in! For each show we'll have the number of votes the show has, a percentage of the total number of votes, a rating, and the number of votes per episode. You can click on any of the numbers to view that specific episode.
