How do I remove Chrome extensions blocked by administrator?
I got a problem that some Chrome extensions I'm using are blocked by administrator.
I don't know how to remove them. I am trying to use "Developer Tools" on chrome, but it doesn't work because I can't get to the settings. I also tried using the button "More tools." in the top right corner of the screen, but it doesn't show up any tool.
Is there a way to solve this problem? I've experienced this issue myself as an admin (for example on a corporate PC where I have multiple accounts and multiple domains) - but, with a simple trick, you should be able to get it working again. The way to do this is simply to use the incognito window. This will remove your personal extensions without affecting the admin extensions.
When you first open incognito mode (via the icon in the address bar), you will be prompted to close all other windows that you have open (which in this case is just the original browser window). Once you're done, you should have all your extensions restored to their normal state.
You can delete the folder ~/.config/google-chrome/Default/Extensions where all your extensions are stored (it's a hidden directory). After that restart your chrome.
How do I install Chrome extensions without admin rights?
I need to install a Chrome extension that requires me to be logged in to my Google account, but I'm not admin of my Google account.
Can I install the extension without being logged in? I have no idea how to do it, but I'm pretty sure it's possible. If you know how to do this, please tell me.
Log into your account and go to the Extensions page: Click the button to add extensions and there's the option to change permissions.

Answer: Open the browser developer tools, find the extension, and tap "disable" as per screenshot above. Click Image. It will be like this. There is a problem, which says:
There are 2 solutions for this: S1. Use an alternative tool named Admin Verifier(free) To use Admin Verifier, please visit Google Docs. If you are not familiar with how to verify the Admin Extension from Chrome browser, you may get in trouble easily. To avoid trouble, you can choose a tool named Admin Verifier. You do not need to login or sign in for Admin Verifier(Admin Verifier is owned by Google). When you verify Chrome Extension, it will ask you for all settings such as browser, location, etc., and show the error message below: It doesn't work in your browser or it works in different websites. It won't display the chrome extensions on the page if it does work in Chrome. There is a problem, which says: Unable to set extension permissions for google:chrome:app:extension:adminverify The extension has been verified. All settings are as expected. But when I click "Enable for google:chrome:app:extension:adminverify", it always says: Google administrator extension is disabled. You'll get one pop-up window after enabling, you will need to manually verify in each chrome profile (ie using chrome://apps/showapps command).
If you can't resolve this issue, just contact our support team via email at adminverifier@google.
How do I add an extension to Chrome if admin is blocked?
I'm working on a chrome extension that checks for a specific site and when it's found, adds an extension to the browser that allows access to it.
The problem is that if you don't have access to chrome as a regular user (you're only allowed to do administrative tasks in chrome), you can't add extensions or themes. How can I overcome this problem?
You need to whitelist the domain you want your extension to be applied to. If you really want to whitelist a site, you need to do something like the following in your manifest file. This allows the extension to be installed on pages that otherwise are blocked for your user. Note that this will allow all the pages with that domain in the address bar, so it may not work well with the way your site works. You can also create pages that don't get added to the address bar, or set up a different whitelist for each site.
