How does Returnless refund to your Amazon account balance work?

Can you get a refund on Amazon without sending back?

I bought 2 headphones from Amazon using the promo code they emailed me with and then got a message saying "this is a temporary promotion." I called them they said my order couldnt be canceled and I would get a refund. I sent them both back and got a refund. They had all of my shipping info. (my full address not PO box) My order number says it shipped out June 1, however the refund does not date back to June.

Will I have to wait for a refund? The refunded money does not appear to have any refunds yet, at least not under this account: I sent my items back for a refund, the person on the phone told me it took 24 hours, which I understand but just wanted to know if there is a faster way. Also just wanted to verify since I had my tracking in the mail the whole time but my credit card hasnt been charged.

You might try to contact Amazon and just see if they can give you anything. If it was a promotion that ended and all you did was send it back, they might give you a refund and say they can not credit back in time, etc. But, they probably will say that even if you can.

But, my biggest concern in all this is the fact that you are sending it back. Sending it back indicates to Amazon that you don't like it, which means you don't think it's worth the money. It's going to make it harder to get a refund for something that doesn't suit your personal tastes, as you will be seen as someone not interested in the product they bought.

Also, if they are offering you a return of the whole thing, why didn't you just buy two different things? You could then return just one of them, thus giving them the chance to offer you better service (or credit back). It doesn't really work, as you're really only returning them. It would make a little more sense to buy two of them and then just return one of them so that they can give you a bigger discount for your future purchase.

Returnless is specifically designed for the e-commerce model. E-commerce stores offer their customers a simple refund, via the web or email, when they have made an online purchase. To learn more about how this works, visit our Returnless FAQs page.

On the other hand, Amazon.com Refund is a tool that allows customers to request a refund from Amazon via its web or mobile apps, or through the My Orders function on amazon. The customer receives their money back as part of the 'Amazon.com Refund' process.

As you'll note, we suggest using the Returnless return option to issue refunds via Returnless and receive free Amazon gift cards in return, whereas the Amazon.com Refund method has additional payment processing costs.

What is Amazon's return policy for 2023?

Amazon's return policy for prime members will get harder before it gets easier, and that means most consumers could see increased frustration when trying to return items.

At the start of 2024, Amazon will stop allowing members to return items for free as of January 1, a policy change that will apply to items sold on Amazon Marketplace. Instead, Amazon will only offer "no-cost" returns through March 15, with a 30-day grace period for Prime members after that date.

That means you'll have to pay for the item, whether it's Prime eligible or not. To make matters worse, a new Amazon policy will kick in starting May 16, 2024. That policy will extend the deadline for free returns in certain situations.

For example, if you've purchased two pairs of jeans and they don't fit, you can still return one pair for free as long as it fits. (Disclosure: Business Insider owns shares of Amazon.

Amazon says it started considering changes to its return policy this year. One internal email shows Amazon's leadership team had discussed a proposal to make returns for Marketplace sellers cheaper, but decided against it.

Still, the company plans to tweak and test the new return policy for a month before announcing it.
