What is Kong in devops?
Kong is a load balancer.
It can be a very powerful tool for your deployment needs, particularly when you need to provide a high. Availability backend for your application or web server and when you want. To scale your app up/down at will. In a DevOps environment, we can say Kong is our deployment engine. Kong manages and creates the deployment pipelines for both production and. Development environment. This means that Kong works both as a central control of the application lifecycle and also as a service for. Deploying applications in a reliable and consistent way. Kong is an asynchronous HTTP load balancer, which means it handles. Requests asynchronously by running them on different workers (also. Referred to as virtual servers). These workers listen for HTTP requests and forward the requests to another Kong server, referred to as. The upstream server. When a request is received by Kong, the worker is stopped, and the request is handed off to the upstream server. The upstream server receives the request and processes it. Once the upstream server finishes processing the request, it sends a response back to Kong. At this point, Kong begins to balance incoming requests based on a set of. Rules that it stores for each HTTP protocol. After a certain time period, if all workers are not able to accept requests, Kong starts another. The main benefits of a Kong deployment are the following: Kong has been built with performance in mind. Kong provides a simple, flexible solution for applications that need a high-availability backend. For their HTTP requests. By using Kong, you can offload some or even most of your traffic to the Kong cluster without worrying about the. Details of how requests are routed and routed to the proper backend. You do not need to manage any servers or clusters yourself. Kong is the deployment engine, so you can focus on building your application. When deploying your application to a cluster, Kong will do most of the. Work for you, and it can provide automatic failover if your backend. Fails. In addition, Kong is designed to support all common deployment methods, such as docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible.
What does Kong Inc. do?
I haven't played it.
What is the most fun you've had as a game developer? The hardest? Kong is an indie game development studio, and we create games for Windows, Mac, Linux, consoles and mobile devices. We want to make video games that are entertaining, fun and innovative. And we believe that all of us have something to offer, and that together we can make something amazing.
What does a typical workday look like? We all get up early to code and design, and after that we work out, take walks, go for lunch, play basketball or whatever. A typical workday begins in the evening, when we start working on the next project.
How much time do you spend designing? How much time do you spend making sure everything is polished? If we have a chance to do something original and fun, we spend a lot of time making that happen. However, it's not so much about the time we spend on a particular game, as about how well the game fits our vision, and the way we feel. We spend a lot of time making sure it's polished, and the final result is something that we're proud of, but in the end it's all about the team's sense of fun, and its ability to create something amazing.
Are there any cool projects you've worked on that weren't finished? This may sound bad, but the main goal of Kong is to develop interesting games that are completed. If one of us, or the entire team, is having fun, and making something great, that's all that matters.
What is Kong in technology?
A blockchain platform with over 1000 games, millions of users and real money transactions, with more than 20.
000 transactions per second, which gives them great credibility to develop a new game which is totally different in terms of functionality with existing titles. Their goal for this new title was to break the model completely.
With Kongregate's reputation for delivering gaming experiences in high quality, their plan for this blockchain title was to change what Kong does, to make one of the most popular things in games into the coolest thing in games. How has the experience been coming to work on this new blockchain game? In early August the idea of this project came about when we first got a glimpse at the Ethereum blockchain protocol. At the time I was still in the process of finishing at our studio and taking the online classes I needed. It was then that I first encountered the concept of smart contracts and what they mean for the future of the world's financial markets. I remember I had a strange feeling in my stomach as I thought to myself, You know, it might actually happen.
I didn't really understand exactly what a smart contract was until later. In layman terms, the idea of smart contracts is that the program code is embedded directly in the blockchain protocol itself and every single transaction is recorded so that a transaction cannot be tampered with or altered as long as the program code has not changed. As a result, all players' accounts and transactions are safe, even when the platform is compromised, because they rely on the blockchain's immutable nature.
From that moment on, I wanted to know more about these programs and how they worked. We wanted to know how we could use this technology for our online gaming and online banking. Our research and development took us down several paths in order to find how these transactions could possibly become possible. It was when I met with the team at Decentraland that I was introduced to the whole idea of using blockchain technology to bring virtual reality to the masses. This was something that inspired me, gave me new hope and created interest in these protocols to be an important part of our company.
When I was presented with the project proposal, I became very intrigued by what they were trying to build. First off, I was happy to hear they were creating something we hadn't considered.
