How much is the SDET course fee?
Do I need any prior qualifications?
The answer to these questions will be the same. Your final job interview may ask them as well. As an experienced SDET, you are likely to have some, especially if you had previously worked for a client in a related position.
SDET Course Fee. In India, SDET course fee (also referred to as SDET training course fees) ranges between INR 5-10k per semester or the complete course depending upon the institution. The duration of the course is normally 8 weeks. It can extend from 4 to 6 months for international students or candidates with a Masters Degree.
Some institutions demand that your SDET course fees are paid at the time of registration. But even if this is not compulsory for you, make sure you take care of it. In fact, you should do so well in advance, just to be on the safe side. There is hardly any need to worry for the SDET course fee, as it does not affect your job search.
However, there is no assurance that all schools provide their SDET courses with fee waiver or accommodation. In most institutions, candidates are expected to find and pay the course fee (by deposit or other means) at least 2-3 weeks before the actual commencement of the course. If your institution requires this, then you need to comply with this requirement. Otherwise, you will need to cover the remaining amount, either through a personal loan or some other means. This aspect is something that you will need to prepare for yourself before you join your desired SDET institute.
