How do I remove a supervised account from Family Link?

Can you unlink an account from Family Link?

I've got a little bit of a problem.

I have an account that belongs to a Family Link-linked account that I don't want to link anymore because I don't want my Family Link benefits. I want to be able to delete my Family Link account, and I can't do that because the Family Link-linked account is linked to it. I unlinked the account from the Family Link family, but the account itself still shows up on the Family Link dashboard as being linked. How do I get rid of this?

A Family Link account is linked to one or more other accounts on the Family Link dashboard. If you no longer want to use that account for Family Link, you must first unlink it from your Family Link family. Unlinking removes a Family Link account from the Family Link family, but does not remove it from your other linked accounts.

Once you've unlinked an account, log in to Family Link and go to Settings > Family Link. From the Family Link menu, choose Unlink Account.

From the Unlink Account window, type the email address of the Family Link-linked account you want to unlink. Then click Continue.

When you click Continue, the Unlink Account window will display your selected account. Click Submit. The account will then be unlinked from Family Link. The account will remain linked to your other accounts and you will still be able to access the account through your Family Link family.

How do I remove a supervised account from Family Link?

If your child's phone number or email address changes and you've assigned that information to a Family Link account, you can remove the account so that the new contact information is associated with your account.

You'll also need to revoke the child's access to the device. For more details, read How do I remove a Family Link account?

The phone number and email address are the primary and secondary contact methods of the account. You can't remove those and leave the device active. However, if the password is the same as the child's password, your account and device can be disabled without revoking access. You should consider changing the password for all of your accounts and devices if you don't want anyone else to use those accounts or devices. You can always change your account settings later to re-enable access to these accounts.

You must be signed into your account in a web browser for this process to work. If your account isn't already logged in, you'll see a sign in button when you arrive at the page that will open a login prompt.

Note: To remove a child's information, you must have their email address or phone number associated with an account on your Google Account. The child's contact information will remain on Family Link but you can revoke access to the device, if you wish. You won't be able to remove the information from the Family Link site.

How to remove someone from Family Link without deleting account?

Hi, and what a nightmare: I am divorced, but need to continue Family Link so the ex gets his share of family support.

He is refusing to share the info with them. What should I do?

Posted by Anonymous at 8:10 PM (permalink) 02 Aug 2025. I've only ever used it for its original intent to make sure my ex receives all her childrens' support from the state, though it's a bit more than I would like to be required. I understand that she could have access to an online service but not get the information online in this state - she has physical cards and other ways of paying so that info doesn't matter.

My ex uses the services with a new username and email address. I haven't given my old address back to her yet. How do I get her off without deleting her account? I only want to keep my records online, too. She has had the link since 2025 when we broke up so it was easy for her to set it up - she has a new phone number and uses something else for her email but I still see the email address that I'd never given back. I can't change her settings in order to get an old one for her. How can I delete her from my Family Link? The only options are "delete my information" or "leave" - it won't let me "leave" either because I'm not letting her know anything about this.

I want to keep it, though it's a small amount I don't mind sending her and her husband their full support share. I am paying for it and don't want them receiving it unless they need it. But I'm sure someone somewhere will ask what I mean.

Re: ? If you go into your FamilyLink.com account > About > View account data, the first couple of pages will be very boring, but the last page will show exactly who is on this website and their address and what their password is. If you use that address as your password, you can change everything for them. When they sign up, their address is different than before, and in this case, they don't have any personal data to show.

How do I change my child's Google Account to normal?

I have a 10.

5 month old baby girl who is very tech savvy. I've already had an issue when I told her she couldn't have Google until she was 3 and she started to cry. She has no problem with being on the computer or TV but she can't stand to have her phone or tablet in her hand. Any suggestions? I'm open to all suggestions including time outs! Thank you for your help.

I'm guessing the child doesn't understand that she can be on the internet when you're looking over her shoulder (kind of like not being able to watch TV when your parents are watching it). Maybe this is a good opportunity to sit down with her and explain what's going on. If she's not comfortable with it now, at some point in the future it will be hard to explain to her why you need to keep track of her online activity.

When you see your child becoming upset about certain things, try to step in and help. You're a parent, not a babysitter, so you should be able to figure out the situation without having to keep explaining yourself.

Thank you for the feedback! I guess I'm just a bit nervous about making her feel any worse than she already feels. It's pretty difficult to explain to someone so young why they can't watch TV. I'm sure she's aware of the TV rules, but my husband and I have talked about the importance of being safe online as well. She is in preschool and is really into playing with her electronic toys. I'm worried that if she starts having more issues with that, I'll think it's because she's online.
