How do I reset Google search on my iPad?
I did the default thing of updating my iPad to iOS 7 last week.
I now have no search bar, however the cog is still there and can be used for settings. When you search though it shows the recent searches that you have made.
In previous versions of iOS Google Search was available in Settings > General > Default Search Engine but it no longer appears. How can I reset Google Search to factory defaults? I've seen this question asked before but I could never get answer. I am a new iPhone user and my search app is gone. The only way to search is to do so on a web browser. Can someone tell me how to get my search bar back? Thank you!
I have been searching for answer to this for a while now and have not found a solution. My phone is locked, I have lost my password and the iphone is running on an earlier version of iOS (7.0.4). I am at a loss as to how to fix this problem. I do not know how to change the search engine to google and have no other information about my device. I am a novice at all of this and appreciate your help.
I just updated to IOS7 today and the Google Search app is no longer in my Apps list in my iPhone. I thought that I'd just remove the app and reinstall it but that doesn't work. I have Google Chrome installed on my iPhone, do I need to uninstall that too?
I had a google account on my phone previously so the setting is in the previous screen. Can you select another Google account? I don't want to lose my previous data, if that's possible.
Hi ! It took me forever to figure out what was wrong ! I use Firefox and everytime I open a search site on my phone I automatically open it on the web browser. I found out that I had google search on my iPhone by accident ! Now I'm a happy user again ! So, I have updated my iPhone 5 to iOS 7 and I now cannot find the google search button. It was on the left side of the screen, next to the apple search button. I cannot find it at all. Do you have any idea of how to get it back?
Why is Google search not working on Safari?
I am having an issue on my Macbook.
After installing the latest version of OSX, Chrome, and Safari (I have tried other browsers too), I am unable to use Google Search.
Search is not working at all and every search returns no results. I get a message saying: Please try again later. I have tried going to and it redirects me to (I think this is because I recently changed my browser's cert). But I can't access it either. When I check the website under chrome://net-internals, it says I'm on
I also faced this problem and then I found the solution. I have fixed this problem by going to safari preferences -> advanced and set WebKit to 'Automatically Handle Cookies'.
It seems that you're running the beta versions of the browsers. In that case, they use the HTTPs version of their respective websites. The HTTPs version of Google search will only work on their own websites.
Safari has an option to redirect to the HTTPs version of a website if there is one. You should probably go into that menu and select the "Automatic" option.

How do I set it up? If you are interested in setting up and using our smart search platform to find information about your business or your clients' businesses, check out our Smart Search for Google web site: to learn more. Why should I do it? Our 'Smart Search' will help you find quality information on your website from the web pages, apps and directories with your business name as the focus. The results you get from our web index are different because of the data included in our search.
What if you have an article in the top 10 results for a competitive keyword but Google only has one page indexed that's actually about your business? Our Smart Search results will only present those websites about your business that is actually ranking. What if you have multiple businesses, such as a restaurant and a law firm and none of them is getting any organic traffic? Our Smart Search will help you see how all your businesses are ranking relative to each other and will provide you the opportunity to put more focus on your business that is getting most of the organic traffic instead of ignoring those that aren't. Is Smart Search only available on Google. No, it can also be used on Google.ca, Google.uk and any other web property. There were two significant reasons for this change.
