I've been using it for a couple of months and the only thing I see it do is to make my internet connection slower. It might be doing something else, but it's not obvious what. Re: Is CCProxy free? When you first start up the program you will be presented with a list of servers. The programs purpose is to help you use proxies when you surf the web, thus increasing your security. If you are worried about security then you should not use the program.

The program automatically starts when you start your computer and continues to run in the background until you stop it. Once you start it up again it will have the same proxy list that you had the last time you used the program.

I have never had any problems with CCProxy, I use it daily without any problems. I can say that it is very useful because you can use it to increase your security, but it is not essential to have a good firewall.

The reason for this is because a lot of users don't have any knowledge of security and they can easily fall into malicious sites if they're using an open proxy. The main reason I'm asking is because I haven't had any issues with it but I'm not sure what it does.

How do I set up CCProxy?

With CCProxy you can redirect multiple URL's, as well as single URLs to multiple web sites.

To use CCProxy, simply follow these instructions: 1) Download the CCProxy 2.0 package and extract the archive to a location of your choice.

2) Open the CCProxy directory. 3) Open up the CCProxy.ini file with notepad or any other text editor. If you have more than one proxy server you can add them separated by a comma.

5) Save the CCProxy. 6) Start the CCProxy service by running CCProxy.exe from the CCProxy directory.

7) If CCProxy is running correctly, you will see a console window pop up with CCProxy is running. 8) Log off your current web browser and open a new web browser. 9) On the new browser, navigate to and view the homepage. You should now see that Craigslist.org has been redirected to your proxy server.

10) To stop the CCProxy service, simply close the console window that opens when you start CCProxy. As a backup, I suggest using the original CCProxy.ini file that was installed on your machine. You can simply copy this file to your CCProxy folder.
