How do I write a good review on Glassdoor?
How to get a really helpful review?
How to get a job using it? In all cases, by getting the review first, you're far more likely to get positive attention for your company and thus, increased credibility.
If you run or work at a company that hires more than 80 employees, the company is eligible for the Gold Plan. The Gold Plan allows you to receive an unlimited number of job recommendations (with each one accompanied by a personal recommendation from a current or past Glassdoor user). And, you can choose to share specific details about your interview preparation experience (eg My interviewer was very thorough and answered all of my questions directly.
Glassdoor is not currently available in China, India, Argentina, or any government offices, so don't get too frustrated if you couldn't find anyone posting reviews from the place you're based. But if you're able to, be sure to make every effort to get as many local reviews posted as possible. That way, when recruiters start searching for new talent in your area, they'll already have a large amount of positive feedback to check out.
More Tips & Trends. One of the main reasons there aren't more people making reviews is because of the limited user base but here are a few ways you can still improve your odds. Make sure you have a public profile. This can give potential reviewers, and companies, an easy way to follow you throughout your career. Many recruiters have never actually met the candidate they're hiring, so keeping up-to-date on a public profile is always valuable.
Keep your profile private until you know for sure you're hired. You might find yourself going one interview, getting hired, then getting a notification that your application won't be considered. If you go public with an unflattering review from that experience, your reputation could suffer.
Try to only rate positive experiences. While it's understandable to have a few negative comments thrown in there for effect, most people would rather get an overwhelming amount of glowing feedback (or at least balance it out), especially since they probably won't be applying to a job at that company again.
Try asking current users to review you.
What should I write in review headline?
I'm just starting to review things and looking at some of the reviews on the site I find it very hard to think of a good headline.
I like the following, but I know that some of my reviewers feel that this is not a good use of space. 'Why not use the review body as the headline'. But what would be a good headline for a review about: "Does this item work well for this purpose". Or
"Is this item easy to use". I'm also concerned about the use of "review", as opposed to "test" or "reviews", as this might get confused with test reviews. We are reviewing the question and how it's used. If a question was asked and then left unanswered, then I think it should be titled Why was the question left unanswered. In fact, I'm sure we have questions that are left unanswered and could be added to the top of that list.

What I do when I write reviews that have question marks is I make sure that if the question is answered in the review, it is addressed in the review body (in either comments or in answers). So, I add something like "What do you think about this?" or "Do you have any experience with this? I've seen people who just leave the question as is. But, when I do that, it seems to me that I'm writing the review twice - once for the question and once for the answer.

@Pekka: This is the case where the review of the question (and the answers) is done as a separate task from the review of the answers (and the question), where the actual answer to the question is in the review. You only have to do it once.
MastinDec 11 '12 at 0:03. @Mastin, I guess this is what I was thinking. I was just concerned about people mixing up the idea of a review question and review answers, as they are very different.

Yes, when I'm writing a review of something that has question marks, I think of two cases.
What are good Glassdoor review responses?
Glassdoor is the largest job review website on the internet.
It's also the best job review website because it lets you know exactly what employees think about the workplace and the company. As a CEO, employer, or employee, the job review section of Glassdoor is a must-have tool to help you determine the success of your workplace. The job review section is broken into three main areas: Positive reviews. Negative reviews. Feedback reviews. Here's an example of a positive review: This was my second year at this company, and I was hired as a senior program manager in Q1 2024. I love working at this company because of the amazing people and culture that the organization has. I have been able to work on many great projects with a wide variety of teams and technologies. The company has been very supportive when I have taken time off to be with my new baby. This company is a great place to grow as an individual and as a professional. The employees are hardworking and loyal to each other. This is a company that cares about its employees and the quality of their work.
Here's an example of a negative review: I was hired as a senior program manager in Q1 2024. I've been working at this company for over a year and half and it has become more and more toxic every day. Management treats employees like they are commodities and it shows. The company provides very few opportunities to learn new things and take on responsibilities. The company's culture is extremely dysfunctional. It is a company that should be ashamed of itself. I will be looking for another job as soon as I can. I hope the company eventually collapses and I don't have to look back.
And here's an example of a feedback review: I was hired as a senior program manager in Q1 2024. I was hired to manage a team of 20 developers. One of my team members is being transferred out of the country. The new hire is an extremely inexperienced developer that is extremely slow and incompetent. I've been working with him for 6 months and he has only completed 3 of the 5 assigned tasks. He has also missed several days of work without notifying anyone.
