How do I record a macro in edge?
Answer for how do I record a macro in edge on my Mac running Yosemite. You could do it in the browser, but I do not recommend that you do that. It is very risky because browsers are sandboxed from the rest of the operating system. For example, if you get an error or problem in the browser, it could cause problems in your system and make it hard for you to get around.
Here is how to do it in your edge browser: Open the page that you wish to record and you will see a white box at the top. In the box, there is a tiny "X" in the middle, to the right, and a tiny "Y" on the left. You can move those items around as you wish.
Here is what they mean: White Box: That box is the area where your video recorder can be accessed. Note that you must be able to see the mouse and keyboard while you record.
Black Box: This is the area where you see your videos. Your screen recording will show in here.
If you click in that white box, it will start recording. You can always stop this recording and move the video files to your desktop or another storage device using dropbox. For the sake of security, I keep a copy of all the videos and the data that I use that goes with each video. I recommend you store it on dropbox. Just look at their privacy policy here and look at how they are handling your privacy, etc. It is a very trustworthy company, and I do trust them.
I hope this helps you and if you have any questions just let me know. Best wishes. MacRumors attracts a broad audience. Of both consumers and professionals interested in.
