What sling packages have local channels?
I'm considering purchasing the sling packages, but I was wondering what local channels they've got.
My daughter is 8 years old and she'd love to watch a Dora and Friends movie. How much can I expect to pay for it? Also, has anyone done it and know how good the quality of the movies are, or even how good the quality of the video itself is? Any advice? Thanks in advance!
The only thing I would advise against is paying for video. My parents recently purchased several hundred dollars of video and it's the worse thing they could have done. They were disappointed in all the video that was available (including dvds) and it came back. When you get a DVD player, the prices will change and some video will be much better. It's no bargain and really is just not worth it.
We don't get tv here, and while I know people with satellite, this seems like an expensive way to watch tv. We do rent movies, and so far haven't had any complaints from the girl. But if it's anything as bad as the video we bought (it seemed to start out okay, then got more and more grainy as time went by), it might make you reconsider. If there are other things to rent, it could be worth it, but I think video is best avoided.
Sling TV is a pay channel. Its not an ad supported channel like regular cable. The local ABC, CBS, NBC, and PBS Channels are included in the price of Sling TV. You are paying for the ability to stream over-the-air TV. It does come with a free 30 days and a free Sling Orange bundle. The Orange bundle has a few channels as well that you can view on your phone or tablet. You can use that to search and watch live sports, news, and other channels that are not available in your area. You may want to look at Hulu with Live TV. Thats available on Google TV and Apple TV and has a lot of the same channels. It is free without ads but they are not allowed to show commercials. But its still a great viewing option if you want to see what's airing. The best thing about Sling TV is that it does not interrupt the user while they use other apps and it can be used on multiple devices like laptops, tablets, and phones.
