What to do if TunnelBear is not working?

How do I get TunnelBear to work on my iPhone?

I recently purchased TunnelBear for my iPhone and iPad.

Unfortunately, I found it impossible to get it to work. I have an iPhone 5s running iOS 9.3 and an iPad Pro with the latest iOS update (10.3). Both devices are set up for cellular data only.

I downloaded the TunnelBear app on both devices and opened it. TunnelBear does not appear in the Apps list. I have tried turning on cellular data on my iPhone and iPad, then turning it off and back on again, but TunnelBear still does not appear in the Apps list.

Is this a bug? If so, how do I get TunnelBear to work? I have been trying to get TunnelBear to work for almost 2 weeks and have been unable to resolve this issue. Please help! Also, I've noticed that when I open TunnelBear from the home screen, the app itself loads quickly. When I open the app from the App Store, it takes a few seconds longer to load. I'm assuming that this is due to the fact that I have not yet connected TunnelBear to my Wi-Fi network, which is why it takes a few seconds longer to load.

You may find that you can get TunnelBear to launch by tapping the app icon on your home screen and selecting "Open." This will bypass the App Store entirely and allow you to launch TunnelBear straight from the home screen.

The latest version of TunnelBear for iOS is TunnelBear Lite, which I just downloaded from the App Store. This is a free app. To activate TunnelBear Lite, tap the app icon in the Home screen and select the "Activate" option.

What to do if TunnelBear is not working?
