How do I get a refund from Google Play?

For some developers, buying something on Google Play is a commitment.

It can be very tough to pull out of an agreement. You may have found the right app for your business, and it's worth paying out for. However, if you make the mistake of downloading the app on your device, using it for weeks, and then deciding it isn't for you, you might want to take back your payments and get back what you invested in it.

Refunding an app is actually surprisingly easy to do in many circumstances. For a refund to be processed there are certain steps that need to be taken before you can receive your money back. You'll find those here.

You can also get back all payments made for an application and still keep the application on your phone. If you don't want the application, you can then uninstall it. Google will make a refund for you automatically. To get the refund, you just have to uninstall the app from your device and return the paid app within 14 days.

How to cancel your Google Play payment. You might have noticed in recent times, the Google Play Store offers refunds quite often. This means more apps are going through the refund channel than ever before. The option will only show when it has been more than 30 days since you downloaded and launched an app.

When this option does appear, a message will explain to you why the refund has been put forward. To begin the process, select refund then select cancel if the message indicates that this should happen. You'll then have the option to choose an available gift card or send the money back. With this option, the refund happens within 5 to 10 business days.

How do I contact Google support play?

I am a teacher and need Gmail for Google play.

How can I get that? I am currently using a Samsung Galaxy SII and I cannot access my gmail through the web and I would need it. Please help!

While I understand that the way the product is structured, it's not possible to provide a means of using a Google Apps account with Google Play services, as far as I am aware. I wish I could be of more help, but I just don't know what else we could do for you.

If you do have an Android tablet, you can use another service via the Google Play Music store. I suggest you contact google play support on the official forums here to make sure that the account you're trying to join is one which has been set up correctly.

I apologise for the confusion. Please note, I am only providing an opinion from experience. I do not work for Google or have any affiliation with them and I don't want to offend anyone. I only ask to point out where things are possible, but aren't without some serious issues. This was something I had to do with my own accounts before they got banned.

For anyone interested, I created a dummy account and used it to test whether or not it worked. I could log in to it, but I was unable to use anything but a browser. The issue was due to being unauthenticated. I was eventually able to verify that the problem was caused by being unauthenticated.

As this may not be feasible as a solution for those of you seeking to sign into the main account (though it certainly should be), I suggest that you have your account removed. It's an extremely easy process which will only take a couple of minutes to go through. Once done, log back in and let us know if that made a difference.

We can't give you any more advice than that, sadly, because we've done as much as we can at this stage.
