I found the answer. I went to chrome://net-internals/#dns and disabled ipv6.

I had the same issue, it was related to DNS. I tried to disable ipv6 on chrome, but it didn't work. I tried to change my DNS to 8.8, and it worked.

I have a Chromebook in school mode, and I need to unblock it so that I can actually use it in school, but I can't figure out how to. Details: It's a Samsung Chromebook 3. It was purchased for me by the school.

I'll run it from the school network, but outside of school hours. I'm not a fan of the school network, but they require it for a variety of reasons. I have a non-school account for my personal use. There's no option to unlock the Chromebook for school use - I want to be able to access it outside of school hours. There are two issues: I can't figure out how to edit the settings to unlock the Chromebook, but I don't want to use the school network to do so. With the school network, it goes online to a server, which seems to be the cause of the issues with the signal. I'm not sure if the school network is even the issue. I'd like to test to see if the Chromebook can be used outside of school hours using my personal account.

My question is: ? You can probably use the school network to unblock it. I'm just assuming there's no way to do it from outside of school hours.

You could use your personal account by connecting to the Chromebook with a browser and typing in the URL to your account on the Chromebook. You may have to login, and there may be a connection issue, although I've had it work for a user login with no issue. I don't know if you can use a different network, though.
