How do I stop Safari from blocking websites on iPad?

Why won't my iPad open certain websites?

I am using an iPad with iOS 6.

The problem is only with certain web pages. Sometimes if I load a web page on my iPad, it won't load the whole page, then when I click on a link to another webpage it takes me to that page without loading the original page first.

For example I have loaded up wikipedia. I typed in into safari and it took me directly to this page. Then I did a search for Wikipedia at which opened the wikipedia page correctly.

So, from the beginning it was only on websites that use HTTPS protocols (), the other sites won't open up. As I said I had problems before and it was because of the server itself or maybe my ISP or something with my internet. I tried using the wifi but the problem continued. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I didn't think my iPad had trouble with this until today and I am not sure why this problem just came up right now.

Turning my comment into answer. As per your comments, I would guess it's an HTTPS issue. I've also been seeing an issue like that lately with iOS6 on Wi-Fi networks (myself, the 3 networks I'm connected to are encrypted), where trying to pull a .htaccess file from say my Mac or Linux box wouldn't download unless I had a strong (or good enough) password. But if I change the user password for the WiFi network I'm connected to (that being the Mac or Linux box), everything gets fine.

I can only assume that Apple changed something in the background recently that causes this problem. The .htaccess has nothing to do with https. That just protects the password in case somebody has access to the device over the network.

How do I turn off restrictions on my iPad?

It sounds like you are running iOS 8 and the issue you are having is with Safari on your iPad.

You can turn off restrictions if you have any apps installed which would prevent you from using Safari.e. If you find that your iPad is locked down, you can go to Settings > General > Restrictions and turn off anything there that restricts what you can do with your iPad.

I have all of the restrictions turned on and I just got my iphone 5c which has been updated to 9.3.2. Has anyone else had this issue?
