How do I get LinkedIn wrapped?
LinkedIn.
Com has been a critical tool for all professional social networks, and with more than 500 million users and 50 billion items of content, its massive potential for business networking, career guidance, marketing, sales, job searches and customer engagement can't be overlooked. And now that most companies use it internally as a platform for connecting their people internally and externally, it's more important than ever.
LinkedIn has a new strategy to help business get wrapped in 2023. With the launch of Career Builder, LinkedIn is looking to create a place where businesses can get wrapped up with other businesses. What does this mean?
You want more exposure to qualified business contacts on LinkedIn. LinkedIn Career Builder is an enterprise solution that will give you more visibility into the LinkedIn network. It will also give you more opportunities to connect with the most relevant influencers and decision makers in your network, while helping you better manage your time and drive your career forward.
This new career platform will give you more connections to businesses, jobs and careers, both internally and externally. If you're not seeing the traffic and activity for your career page, this could be part of the problem. We've made a few quick tips to get LinkedIn working for you.
It's about time, right? I know LinkedIn has a massive user base, but it doesn't mean you'll reach every business that uses the network. Most businesses don't understand how LinkedIn works or what content they're creating, so they have no strategy for exposure. The good news? If you are strategic with it, you can really engage your network and increase your LinkedIn exposure by targeting relevant audiences and creating quality content.
The top 15 LinkedIn networks. I decided to look at what type of businesses were on LinkedIn and how many connections they had and then look at what type of content they were creating. I did all my analysis and research in June of 2023 and included only business with at least 100,000 LinkedIn connections.
Let's start with the top 15 LinkedIn networks. I used the LinkedIn SEO Starter Pack and Google Adwords Keywords Planner (GAP).
What is meant by job wrapping?
I don't really think that job wrappers are in any danger of becoming obsolete.
In fact, the trend I'm seeing is more toward adding new capabilities to tasks than trying to eliminate tasks altogether. That's certainly what I've been doing as I continue to improve our task tracker at my day job.
My current process is to take a "traditional" tasks list and, in addition to the standard fields (priority, assigned to, etc.), I add a couple of new columns for "job wrapping". The idea being that once all the work for the task is done, it becomes eligible for "wrapping" in some way.
One of the things I've found important is not to just add this new functionality for a task by itself, but to also integrate it into the workflow tool. So, for example, I'll start a task at the beginning of a project and create a task for each subsequent task based on that project. In this case, after the final project milestone is created, I'll go back through and mark any tasks done within that milestone as completed and then remove the task from the list. I'll also create a new job wrapping task for that project, as I'm actually removing the whole project from the list (vs just the tasks).
Then, as I work on the next project, I'll create tasks to replace the existing ones from the previous project and, in this case, I'll set up a Job Wapper for that project. When all of the tasks within that project are complete, I'll set up a Job Wrapper task to remove the entire project. It's really neat because, in addition to creating these additional tasks, I can also create a new project in the same way.
As I mentioned, I've done this primarily for my own personal use but it can also help your users by eliminating some of the redundant tasks you've been tracking.
