How do I unblock a school site on my Chromebook?

Google is aware of the blocked school site issue that has been identified and reported to them.

We appreciate your patience, and we want to let you know how it is going in our efforts to get sites back online for many thousands of users in the affected Regions in the coming weeks.

We recently saw an updated release of Chrome OS with a fix that may have already been applied to Chromebooks when schools begin experiencing connectivity issues around April 22, 2023. The initial fix has been implemented for most schools - but some still show issues like the image below. In these cases, Google recommends contacting the school's IT support to be able to unblock the site.

Update, 9:35 PM PST: We now have several updates to share regarding the schools that we've talked to, as well as some additional ones just submitted today (Sunday, 10/20). These are the updates we know of so far.

This is the school's own IT department, which is the only party who has a direct line with Google and has communicated with us directly via the webmail form included with the block page: 10 of 12 schools have their access back. 3 to 6 schools have yet to reach someone at their school and don't have access. 4 to 5 schools haven't yet been reached by the IT department at their schools, but we still expect those schools to be unblocked by tomorrow. What schools are still not available, even with a recent update? We still don't have more info to share regarding this. If you have more details one or more schools that are still blocking access, then please let us know in the comments. We can then update this post to reflect those schools if needed.

I contacted google tech support over 2 weeks ago to unblock my kids school website. I have called them almost 10 times without any solution, they don't call back with anything except a generic google message. I think it's a total waste of money, I won't be buying another chromebook until they sort this issue out, they have been useless thus far and the IT companies from school all get the same generic message, so they can just keep doing what they are doing.
