Ingot is a simple, clean, and open source framework for developing web apps in Go.

In recent years, Go has been adopted by many applications and companies. In fact, the first real-world app built with Go (my blog) was written by Rob Pike, who is also the author of this tutorial.

Go is a relatively new language, and as such, it doesn't come with the best-documented tooling. This includes the documentation for the language itself and the community around it. In particular, the official GitHub page for the language is almost completely empty.

This tutorial is designed to get you up-to-speed with Go quickly. After reading it, you should be able to create a new project, compile and run it, and interact with your app using your browser. In short, it should give you a good feel for how to build a Go application.
