Why can't I use Safari on my iPhone without Wi-Fi?

How do I fix Safari not loading web pages on iPhone?

When I try to open any web pages on Safari for iPhone, it just loads forever and won't open.

I've tried opening the site in many browsers, on multiple computers, on multiple phones, on the same computer, on the same phone with different data and on other phones, and all have the same result. If I hold the Home button, press the "Go" button, open my apps, close them, reopen the browser and click on a website it works fine. But it doesn't work if I just click on it or open it normally.

What can I do to get around this? I don't want to be forced to go through the process of unlocking the phone and downloading and installing another app just so I can access my web browsing. I believe you are trying to open a website from within safari not the browser by default. If you are trying to open a webpage from within your browser then use the above method and go through the steps of using the browser.

As a note, I believe the iphone has a safari app you can download if you'd like to bypass that process. You will need to have at least iOS 6.

Why can't I use Safari on my iPhone without Wi-Fi?

I've never really liked the Safari App on my iPhone and iPad, I think it is a great app for computers, but I can't see why I should be forced to use it for my phone.

When I turn the cellular data connection off, I can no longer use Safari to view a website or anything else on the web because I can't get to a secure connection. This is a huge problem. Why can't I use the internet with WiFi on my iPhone without an internet connection? I'm not concerned about cellular data either. Can someone explain this?

What are we paying for here, besides the monthly fee? If you don't use WiFi on a tablet or smart phone, what would be the point of having WiFi? On those devices WiFi is used specifically for internet access. Cellular data is used for calling, so if I'm going to have a phone on me I'll have it so that I can call someone if I need too. In case the need comes up. That's why Apple created cellular data and WiFi, as you guessed the reason.

Safari is not a cell phone app, its purpose is to browse the internet on a computer. The reason for cellular data, and by extension Wi-Fi is for your phone to be able to go anywhere it needs to. When you use Safari on your computer you are at a secured wifi that is not using cellular data. When you take your iPad on a plane you will still be able to browse the web even though the plane is not equipped with internet connections. There are many reasons for cellular data and wifi.

Because the phone doesn't use a secure connection when there is no network connectivity. So the user must manually login via their username/password. The same applies to a non wifi connection. If I didn't require Wi-Fi for cell service, then why do I have cellular data and why do I have to manually log in. Why is the connection still secure even though I don't have a valid passcode for cellular data.

Why is my iPhone not browsing even when I have data?

Hi guys, I'm really struggling with this problem.

I just got my iPhone 4 today and had my data plan on my old phone.

I'm on AT&T and when I try to browse my phone, it won't even find any wifi networks. I know I'm not being blocked by any wifi networks because I can see them all. I can even access the web using my old phone (my provider is ATT) but not my new one. I can't connect to any wifi networks or cell towers when I have the new phone in my pocket. When I pull it out to use it, I'm able to browse fine.

I've tried everything on the forums but I can't seem to get anything to work. I've tried rebooting, factory resetting, and restoring all my apps, but nothing has helped.

I'm using iPhone 4 (Sprint) and just moved to T-Mobile. Before, I was on AT&T with an old iPhone 3GS (Verizon) and used AT&T 3G only, and had no problems at all.

Here are the steps I followed, and I'm not sure if they're correct or not: Reset my device (Settings>General>Reset). Restored all of my apps (Settings>General>Restore All). Restored all of my settings (Settings>General>Restore All). Restored my iCloud account (Settings>iCloud>Restore). Used "Check for updates" in iTunes. Rebooted. Checked my connection in Settings>Cellular Data (my T-Mobile data works great! Checked my connection in Settings>Cellular Data>Network and switched to the 4G network, then back to 3G. Checked my connection in Settings>Cellular Data>Network and switched to the 3G network, then back to 4G. Checked my connection in Settings>Cellular Data>Network and switched to "other", then back to 4G.

Why does my Safari not work on cellular data?

If you have an iPhone, iPad or Android device and you find that it does not work on your cellular data network, you are not alone.

If you read the title of this post, you know why your cellular device doesn't work and you know how to fix it. This post will provide you with the answer to how to solve your cellular connectivity issue. The only question that remains is 'Why?'

I did not come across a lot of people complaining about their cellular connectivity issues. If you're like me, your mobile device gets a bit sluggish or just goes off-line when there's too much activity. You don't want to think about it because you can't even use your device for your work. But if you ask any expert, they will tell you that it might not be a technical issue. It could be a hardware problem too.

For example, I used to play a lot of games on my iPhone and it was great but it was very slow. It was like going from 60fps to 5fps. I assumed that it was a software issue. So I bought a new case for my iPhone and it worked perfectly. Now I'm afraid that I'm not getting my replacement warranty coverage but at least it works! The warranty issue didn't bother me that much. I just wanted my mobile device back to its original state.

When you're browsing on your computer or laptop, browsing the internet, watching video or playing games, the internet connection always performs smoothly and it always does what you tell it to do. But what happens when we use our cellular device to do the same thing? Sometimes it happens that you have the internet connection running smoothly. But when you try to do anything on your device (especially your most loved apps), it keeps on lagging.

Let me clear one thing before we get into the technical details. If you're in the US, you'll be using GSM 3G HSPIf you're in the UK, you'll be using 4G LTE. You don't need to worry about which network you're using. For all intents and purposes, this post will be applicable to both GSM and CDMLet's begin.

How Does the Cellular Network Work? The cellular network basically works by dividing the world into a bunch of cells.
